RE: Buyback update12 Jun 2025 00:11
Hey Hardup, Cheers for the daily updates.
Almost becoming a bit of a habit, waiting for the 17.57-18.04 post with the daily numbers.
Can't work out the trading decisions between the amounts bought... the odd 30 million day, 7 or 8 days of 12.2 million, a few quiet days and now a few big number days.
1.70 billion buyback.... 29 weeks / approx 145 trading days left to complete the buyback. (31-12-2025)
Bought 105k shares, approx 28K as covid took hold, more luck than judgement, still have 105k shares left.... more luck than judgement again. Was hoping / waiting in me mind for low 80's so getting very twitchy now, have had 40% of total cost back in dividends but this buyback has me wanting to hold on. Greed is a terrible thing. lol. I put the whole amount up at 1.25 wishful thinking...hoping the buyback person wants to take everything there in some spike. Think I might get the full investment back in dividends by the final 2028 div payments if we carry on as expected which would be nice.
All those 12 million days last week had me wonder how the buyback would proceed / how long it would take if they carried on buying that amount daily and if the price stayed at similar levels. im thinking 110/145 days at 12 million a day... middle of november similar to last years £2B completion date.
Fingers crossed for a positive ruling with the car finance. As much as more shares would be gobbled up at 50p with bad news, the eyes are liking what my papers worth at the moment. Think we'r maybe just under 60 billion shares now with lloyds having bought back almost 4.3billiion in 2023 and 3.7 billion shares in 2024 and 900 million so far in 2025. Hopefully get another 1.1B shares this year. Think someone posted approx 70% (42B)of shares owned Institutionally so 18 billion still left among us. Think we could do with another and few more on top £2B yearly buyback announcements starting in mid Feb 2026.
