Oh for a crystal ball. At what point do we start buying?

I know when I post here it’s usually tripe, however, my order to bullion on post on Monday usually arrives next morning. This week it was 3 days. Now they are warning it may be 7 to 8 days. The sovereigns were £918 on Monday. Today most are over a £1000. This share should, you would think, reasonably reflect that. I for one am more than happy to wait, and add to this share for long term gain. For now it’s entertaining to watch how the broader markets deal with it. Patience, as my old Mum used to say is a virtue.

Well, I’ e done what I said I wasn’t going to do and bought another 750 in the dip at 6.91. I really, really have got to stop. It’s becoming addictive.

Speedy, you only need to look on bullion sites. Purchasing physical is getting harder by the day. Bullion by post are quoting a week on some things to get your purchase out to you with many things awaiting delivery. I emailed Chapel jewellers in Sheffield yesterday to enquire if they had sovereigns in any denomination in stock. The reply was negative at this time. 3 years ago I was buying silver Britts at £22. Now the bullion dealers have little left and many things completely gone save for the bars of 500 grams and above. However, I will persist chasing purchases.

Martin, got rid of my Conti gt speed. Trouble free and gorgeous car if you can live with the 18mpg. You’ll love it. Swapped it for an Aston v8 vantage roadster. Rubbish in comparison. Kept it 6 months. With the roof back you couldn’t read the instruments. I would have another but this time the v8 for economy.

Dickie, this is when you need a fairly strong resolve and a belief in the company. I’ve been in some tripe in the past but I have a fairly good feeling for this one over the next couple of years. For anyone not in a rush I reckon this may deliver.

I’ve formulated my plan for the year now. I’ve been investing in a goldy since 2018 which has now come good and have also invested a percentage of my cash in here for a couple of years. Well now it’s all going in here monthly. Even if over the next 2 or 3 years it only 3 or 4 bags there’s no way a bank account will deliver the same in this s*** show of an economy. Just my thoughts.
