As I see it, the UK Govt, and others around the World come to that, have to stop funding 'Freebies' including free tests and now there is a move towards getting companies/institutions to take on the testing burden where necessary. If tests are needed for a hospital visit..great...I'm all for that and the NHS and Private Hospitals will have to fund their own testing and potentially staff to do this. If testing is needed for travel then airlines will have to fund their own together with staff to do or supervise. If large places of work want to keep their staff at work, they will have to fund their own and the same for schools etc. We all now over the Summer/Autumn months will have to learn to live with Covid and the possibility there will be times in our lives we will have to undergo a test or two or even daily depending on where we go and/or what we do. As time goes on tests may become more sophisticated/easier/quicker (such as the DV/Avacta breath tests). If we all want the World to open up as it was before and to travel far and wide etc then vaccinations and testing will be the norm...
SO...there will be a massive need for good quality test kits and Avacta will be in there and so will others BUT as time goes on natural market forces will take hold and some buyers will buy on price only whereas others will buy on quality.
Innova served it's purpose. We might not like the idea of our Govt investing heavily in a cheap, inferior test but that was what was needed at the time...and that's the key...at the time...they were able to supply in bulk...the UK Govt placed a huge order early on when the World was still in chaos and chasing down whatever they could get their hands on. The UK Govt also placed large early orders for the vaccines which as it happened were good.
Finally, if we have been in production for some weeks, why is it taking so long for our Distributor to make our test available. Mmmmm...that tells me the initial stocks might have been built up for someone else to call off...
Now, we are where we are and in the next week or so, we should start to get more news...don't you just hate NDA's...
The Wednesday match is far more important right now...
