I put it to you...if you were big pharma looking to for a JV with Avacta. Can you see snyonevon the therapeutics side who could head a commercialisation roll of a brand new cancer treatment . I for one would want to place one of my own bids in to make sure a) there's someone in place and b) they already have 'friendly' customer contacts etc...

As soon as the data comes out of 1a, which I believe will be somewhat amazing, this in itself will be enough to start the ball rolling on initial talks pending 1b. As I said before, if AVA6000 is mirroring the mice studies we basically have a cure.

I visited a friend today only to be told she lost her sister (who I also knew) to Pancreatic Cancer 10 days ago and only 7 weeks after her diagnosis. She went to the doctor with stomach cramps (no other symptoms) was scanned 2 weeks later and given the diagnosis pretty much immediately together with the offer of them trying to get her on a new trial where they are testing a new version of a well know chemo drug at The Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre. Unfortunately she died before they could get her on the trial. It sounded very mcuh as if it could have been the Avacta trial which is recruiting at this hospital. She was 72 and fit as a fiddle...very active, no health issues and not overweight...a perfect specimen and still it got her!!!

Now, I get that Dox hasn't ever been seen as a cure...but, is that because of the terrible side effects it induces and damage to other vital organs a relatively low dosage etc. Now with AVA6000 if MTD is at C6 or C7 then we are looking at a much higher starting dose. That's to say, as soon as a patient receives a diagnosis then the MTD dose could be administered straight away so the tumour gets a full on blasting in the very early stages not after the tumour has had time to develop further or even outstrip the patients ability to withstand the ever increasing side effects and organ damage. Now the question is, how far do they want to take this. If they don't get to MTD at C6 or C7 but patients are not just surviving but the tumours are reducing, if not perhaps in some actually melting away will they simply call it at say C7 and then move the surviving patients over to the 1b trial as a continuation Cohort. Surely 1a trial survivors can't just be let loose once the trial ends!!!! can they???

My point being..if we hit MTD in 1a say C6 or 7 if it goes that far and the majority of patients are still alive...surely if they were terminal they wouldn't be classed as terminal any more because again those levels of Dox would have killed all the cancer cells by then one would hope and the patients would be in remission. And if the dox has been killing the cancer cells and the patients have had little or no side effects then perhaps any other organ damage has stopped and even started to repaircitself too. If any of this happens then surely AVA6000 moves into the realms of cure...

Finally...they had to print it..all has been revealed and that's why we saw the derampers out in force during holiday time too. Nice little order worked through there...maybe now we'll get some news and a bump up...unless of course there's more to come.

Sorry...I haven't had time to read all previous comments. A couple of questions.

1a patients are those who have been deemed terminal. However, correct if I'm wrong but will 1b draw from patients at any stage or will they too have to be terminal too.

I say this because if dox is working and killing the cancer cells in 1a patients when we get the final findings they will have to disclose how many are still surviving and will they also fisclose shether they are still classed as terminal or not.

Ha ha...the person is probably already known to the company - or by at least someone in the company - and there won't be an interview process of sorts if this is the case. The Key Selection Criteria looks like it's been taken straight off someones CV!!!!....

Also if you look at the Team on the Diagnostics side of the company we now have Launch bods showing. Therapeutics is still very much made up of Science folk so with a move towards Commercialisation one would expect to see more Commercial based bods being taken on.

All very much a good sign of things to come and a reflexion of 'confidence' at the top regarding product protential.

He did actually say during the Science Day that if AVA6000 is proven to do what it says on the tine then it would pretty much instantly become the go to form of treatment which sounded liek a chappie speaking rather confidently based on the fact he will have fully access to both the UK and US trial data both in human and in mice.

Hey Ho we've just got to grin and hit the gin while we wait patiently for this to play out. It would also be nice to get some news regarding our new purchases but I suspect holidays are getting in the way right now.
