Could see one very big angle from dw getting this at all.. If the deposits venture into the 1002 area by which it is artificially bounded, then quite possibly those companies already there might get first dibs of nxt door acreage :-) Otherwise those seemingly farfetched previous comments of using the ground by the boundary as a pad or base in order to suck out the hydrocarbons from the nearby 1002 area looks like a realistic possibility after reading that article brom put on here...

In that article about gas on north slope; "Additionally, a further 590 trillion cubic feet of gas may be made available by new extraction technology." 23% of known reserves are pt thomson and other undeveloped fields... Soo.. if there is even just 10% of the 590TcF thatd be a possible extra 59 TcF in yukon gold neighbourhood.. I wonder if there is any in the yukon turf ??.. Hmmmm. ;-)

Am wondering if dw gives us info on pressure readings.. will do if reperforations needed .. But if not and if pressure has built up to point of no need for artificial lift.. maybe he wont.. Am not familiar with all this technical stuff . But there is a chance that after such a long shutin, that it may flow naturally.. fracc juice and all... I recall the comment of the "intelligence" we received from presentation goers of PB telling one of them NOT to sell if the sp goes down.. or words to that effect.. I could never work out what the purpose of such comment was for.. They very likely had the winter shutin within their plans internally... as a contingent action... that is what i believe.. I may be right.. i may be wrong..

I have a feelimg that possible cr flipping has been done.. Still time for fomo.. Last time it happened when positive outcome/results were expected.. So this time the main rise may happen closer to 11june or even after they lift the fracc juice so 21june.. bout a month away.. until then would still expect a vertical zigzag uoward rise but maybe not too much.. Also.. possibly mm's accumulating so they can dump into a potential preflow rise of up to 45 to 50%.. Who knows... In the meantime we will probably know by end of next week as to whether all is ok or if reperforations needed etc.. So there is still 2 or 3 key operational news items we might get in RNSs by the time the well starts flowing hydrocarbons.. and steady sp appreciation might parallel that newsflow

Yes.. cr to cover potential mishaps on ice2 like having to reperforate.. But also on the list for reasons for cr, i believe the last point was stated as possible new opportunities, or words to that effect.. Nevertheless.. if they do increase a bit on leases over in western area (north of it, if great bear drops this; they recently dropped to east and remote west), by the time it happens they will probably already have the jv partner onboard.. so expenses will be reduced.. As for yukon.. thats a tough one.. doesnt seem like leases are available over there, but we need to deeply research if the nearby leases expire before next lease auction.. otger than that, possibilty of further prospective horizons with oil or gas, meaning better not to stuff about with prelim results but instead let it all get completed, then announce it..

Yeah.. i had the same thoughts.. Yukon new leases nearby? Cos the prelims were supposed to come out in june as well as icewine conventional.. Anyways, if great bear have dropped their far western leases abutting 88e, then based on current 2d interp, if 3d justifies it, 88e might be grabbing a little more leases to the north of the western conventional prospects.. in the next auction round..

So alkaid never actually tested.. due to flooding(??) But not due to their drill company having the lease blocked due to alleged 10mill unpaid.. hahaha.. lovely.. Just a shame for 88e.. cos couldda had a higher sp due to the nearness.. I wonder where their second drill in that dalton highwat area will be... Talitha or raptor ?? Those are my guesses.. one of them.. Will probably soon find out..

Phoebus, With all due respect you seem more upset with another companies valuation than enthused with Matd potential.. I believe that you have in fact answered your own question when comparing the two current valuations :-) The two companies are very very different from each other.. the other one doesnt need to discover.. it needs to show flowrates or 3d volumetrics to enhance the commerciality potentials... whereas Matd needs to discover in the first two drills... looking at those regional fields of hydrocarbons, one would think that Matd should be successful... but we shall see going into the spring :-)

We all have to stick to what we are comfortable with.. I see the story has changed now.. the other company is no longer a no discovery but a sluggish work in process.. for you.. I think that good research is the key :-) Isnt Matd having similar issues ? Spud in july.. rather than this month ? :-) It by no means, indicates lack of oil in the ground, or does it ? :-)

Matd interests me a whole lotta lot.. Am hoping for a good timing sequence.. 88e success in june.. a trifecta.. 3 sets of results are already lined up.. Then if that is successful, close out into the rampant momentum, moving over to Matd and a few others... in time for these adventures.. So unfortunately am looking for facts.. haha.. Matd is very chunky especially looking at the entire field.. so still bags to be possibly made from these levels.. But i think that the most rampant part in upward sp movement will be if the two drills come in successful... And if oil remains over bout 70bucks during that.. which looks likely.. then there should be some serious sp upward moves..

There is no question of matd potential value.. But most of it will be realised upon successful two drills this year.. cos then it will create momentum for the entire fields being valued in the sp.. To compare this to another company, saying it hasnt discovered anything while that company is about to flowtest their existing resource... doesnt make much sense :-)

88e no discovery ? They are finishing flowtest of shake resource of possibly at least a few billion recoverable.. :-) Should state actual facts when comparing :-)

My interp is that up to about 325mill flipped from trade halt day over both borses... So maybe just this week to go.. with the lethargic action..
