Lordburney when I say “top of my watchlist”. It’s because I’ve been invested here for a long time although the oldest post on the subject I can find was 2017 on chat history. And yes once I decided to sell I spent the best part of a week clearing my position so the mm’s didn’t kill me on the price. It did wobble a few times as I was selling. for those who asked where the money went - initially I increased at ITV, VOD and Centrica as the cash pot became available so all good. Medium term it’s mostly going in to medical, and health related reading up on HEMO and RUA currently. GLA

It’s been many years that AAU has been top of my watchlist. And as the world heads for another recession it’s not a bad place to be. However with a lot of opportunities around at the moment and no clear indication this stock is going anywhere fast, it’s time to realise the profits here and move on. I will keep calling back in and if the opportunity arises I may rejoin. GLA

Think I need my crystal ball serviced. My sentiment here swings wildly day by day. ITV have committed and lot of money to ITVX both on the platform and commissioning content. They telegraphed that this would impact the bottom line. The launch month did bump viewer numbers and overall streaming mainly for the World Cup so will the growth be sustained. We also know that 2023 is going to be the biggest year of spend on content in support of continued growth. All good for the future but investors have little in the way of patience and never want to hang around for jam tomorrow if there is any sign of weakness. We will see. Btw I hope you are all doing you bit pushing up the streaming hours lol.
Streaming hours measures the total amount of time in hours that registered users spent streaming ITV's programme content across ITV's owned and operated platforms. It excludes viewing on third party platforms. I like many will be keeping a close eye on the shorters. I got out of CNA this cycle a month or so early so cut my profit significantly so what do I know.

There are those who buy when they believe in the stock then Hold when proved wrong because they can’t accept realizing a loss and moving remaining funds to a stock with better prospects. They will Forever be complaining when they get caught out having seen a decent profit disappear.

I’m not expecting a huge amount from the final results. A lot of money spent and committed to ITVX in 2022 and already telegraphed that 2023 will be the biggest spend year. Hopefully the launch over delivered. Gla

My take I’ve said it before
1) Targeted adds
2) Resilient platform
3) Unique new content and huge back catalogue
4) add supported or subscribe
5) works for me on android app, IOS app, & SmartTv (around the world although we won’t dwell on that)
6) Now a much stronger contestant and for a bid (either studio or whole thing)
7) they have spent money getting here and 2023 bottom line is going to take a hit because they will spend every penny making this a success

I rate the outlook for this share, and will hold. If my belief in the company changes I will sell regardless of if I’m still in profit or it’s dropped. It’s not worth holding a stock you don’t think will perform there are plenty of places to put your money

ITVX May not look so different yet it’s a new resilient and future proof platform, It has acc3ss to a huge back catalogue from ITV studios and BritBox plus investing in new content in a big way. Have we all seen A Spy Among Friends. More importantly in the current it is more resilient than much of the competition with a free to Air advertising based offering and a subscription service to avoid the adverts. I do the latter. There are 32 million already registered thanks to the old platform and 25 million have revisited due the the World Cup. ITV has doubled its own advertising budget to push the platform and a lot of people have staked their reputation and probably their job on this working so let’s see. Anything better than abject failure is going to improve the share price and if things look positive it may attract buyers to get in and kill off the opposition GLA
