On that, I still believe the LFT sales will be a lot higher than most are now resigning them to. Why seek out further manufacturing capacity, if GAD numbers ‘will do’?

iPhone - genuine question, why are you so bothered? Honestly.

Objective reality is that Chinese sullied tests were able to meet demand. UK would have failed dramatically in fulfilling demand for early mass testing. It’s taken ODX and ABDX forever to supply 2m/week. It’s where we now fail as a country. We can’t match mass.

However… as with steel, we have groups up and down the country that will not use Chinese steel. Farming is a prime example. This is based on quality.

Test to release is a different animal. Quality is required. You’d like to believe enough time has passed to allow the UK time to meet demand. Acon and Orient perform poorly in real world.

He’ll question comm’s. Avacta will say why comm’s have been poor. This will be the essence of his feedback - I.e. comm’s only issued when commercial contracts agreed.

Politics has been AS’s defence against volume failures. HMG are an easy scapegoat given their past (and current!) failings.

Of course the LFT revenue will come. It’s success drives the success of the diagnostics business. I realise the IP is at the heart, but sales of these tests become the catalyst for future LFT’s.

We’ll sell tests. The question remains, ‘how many?’. My view is, a lot. Our main focus should be to detach ourselves from the Covid stocks. This is the biggest challenge.

Orders and traction in AVA is a good start. Updates on licensing deals would be the biggest diversion that could lead us away.

There’s red across the board. We’re lumped in with the DHSC mess. You either see past it, or allow the flustered emotional holders/traders to cloud your judgement.

Twitter is a example of this. Have your price, and stick to it. Nothing you can do to influence the stakeholders causing these delays/frights.

Let’s focus on the positives… this shows how much of mess you can get into with a major reliance on HMG contracts. Mirrored at NCYT and ODX. Us?? We’re not affected as a company because selling LTFs, with HMG as a single client does not dictate the direction of the company.

Even if we were down the road with HMG, the diagnostics biz is separate. AS at pains to stress how progression via therapeutics would not be affected by resource constraints in diagnostics.

We’re being dragged down the plug hole with this mess. But we’re far away from it, in reality. For the record, I would still like to sell tests to HMG next month (to release), to gain access to their manufax capacity. We’ll progress our EU capacity with other clients.
