In effect they are the golden goose that has made the LSE such a success & HMRC love all the stamp duty. We live in cynical times so can’t see the greater good winning this battle.

I know I’m probably stating the obvious, but Trump to have any chance of getting re-elected is going to need a strong economy so will have no choice but to do a deal with China. Similarly with Brexit, the EU always do a deal or kick the can at the last possible moment. So past form is a good guide for believing in a last minute deal. There is talk of a recession in the US & Germany again past form would suggest that the central banks will boost liquidity. Finally Iran hasn’t gone away, but judging by crude prices, you would think the mullahs love Trump. It’s a mad world, but still plenty to be bullish about ENQ & markets in general.
