Restaurants using Opentable need to bring in so many customers before the owners start to make money.
Restaurants who use Bigdish will make money on the very first diner.

Great post mart, restaurants start with 100 percent mark up plus so offering 25 to 50pct to someone who would otherwise go elsewhere is a bonus to all. You dont want to pay chefs and waitresses to throw food away.

Opentable has 40000 restaurants
21 years in the making

21 years multiply by 12 months equates to 252 months
40000 restaurants devided by 252 months equates to 158 sign ups a month.
How many staff do they have? Exactly they are not signing many per staff member on average.

Dishes 12 Territory managers would only have to sign up 13 restaurants a month to reach 40000 in the same time.
That said the chains will reduce that average down.

I know what your going to say Trumpet, but when the Uk is exhausted you then start on differnt parts of Europe or even world.

Once the managers get on with it the sign ups will increase and then snowball eventially.

Facts are Opentable started years ago and Dish only Ipo'd last August.
Opentable had the same crap thrown at them that it wouldnt work.
