I suppose that if you believe that you have God on your side , then anything you say, no matter how wrong is correct. Very sad. We have seen this attitude numerous times throughout history. It usually ends very badly for those involved.

It appears that Limpwood falls into this category.

Broomtree, we are still waiting to hear why HARL, as you claimed , were producing FCF. As someone who is always going on about talking about facts, you seem very reticent to discuss this why. Is it because you have NO business experience what so ever and haven't the faintest idea what you are talking about.

Seems like Broomtree has been caught out lying again. When will he stop. Not the behaviour of a Man of God. Perhaps that was made up as well.

Worth re posting and re reading Stokeys excellent post again. It puts the Drivel that Broomtree and The caravankid write, in the shade.

I am not sure how many people commenting on the new filing have a) read and b) understood what the filing means. The resolution which was what was effectively being filed states:-

'THAT new articles of association, in the form of the articles of association appended to this Resolution as Appendix A, be adopted as the new articles of association of the Company in substitution for, and to the exclusion of, the existing articles of association of the Company with effect from the date of approval of this Resolution as set out below in order to permit the granting of security and enforcement of security created over the shares of the Company.'

As I read it the previous articles of association did not permit a charge to be placed over the shares of those three particular companies. Therefore the resolution was passed to amend the articles to permit placing of a charge over the shares. This does not affect the statement by JW that the funds of Scilly ferries are separate from the funds of the other parts of the group. What I find interesting is the timing of the resolution. If I recall Kaeren posted that last week JW and AR had meetings with Ministers. It would seem that after those meetings that these resolutions were passed. Bearing in mind the purpose of a charge over shares in my view that the banks who would be lending the money that is to be guaranteed may have decided that they would rather have another form of security which might be easier to enforce in the event that it should become necessary.

Bear with me if I speculate for a minute. If the banks take a charge over the shares of any or all of the group companies and the UKEF guarantee is only enforceable in as far as the security is insufficient to cover the loan then I do not see how the state aid rules or the Subsidy Control Act would apply. I say this because the third limb of the four limb test under the Subsidy Control Act to determine if it is a subsidy would not apply and the guarantee would not be a subsidy. The IOSSC can complain as much as they like the underlying transaction which the guarantee is for is a commercial transaction on a normal basis so the guarantee is not a subsidy.

I would expect final confirmation of the finance within the next two weeks.

We kind of understood that already.

If the £200m order book is confirmed then its a company making profit. conservatively it should go to per of about 8. so some very general back of a *** packet calculation: makes £10m profit should value the company at £80m. that suggest about a £50p share price.

what i think would likely stem from both positive outcomes is a confidence from companies to place orders with h&w accelerating the order book. given demand seems to be ahead of supply, it should allow margins to be maintained, if not increased.

my view if this does come good then its easy to see over 200p a share in a relatively short space of time.

Its all speculation . We need an update. Its been 2024 years since we got thew last bit of verifiable news.

The funding will allow Harland & Wolff to increase marketing in its diversified project portfolio and enter new markets or sectors eg Green Energy . The increased revenue from its Diversified portfolio helps to mitigate mitigate risks associated with dependency on a single market, This will eventually have a positive influence the SP.

With the financial backing of UKEF, Harland & Wolff can secure more contracts in international markets where the assurance of UKEF support can be the decisive factor in winning bids. This can improve market share margin and revenue growth. Win Win.
