That is a fair point Garo, and one that will not get a satisfactory response from anyone on this bb. Assuming you are a shareholder, and consider ‘your’ company’s actions, or lack of, to be “disgraceful” then you really must email the company. Who knows, it might even get an RNS reply.?
Down over 5% on 500k volume and no news, clearly a sector affect.
Just a little worried that maybe rumours might be little attention from gov’t at cop26 re H2.
Agree Ss, it is rather perplexing with the whole ‘net zero’ targets, the enormous price of nuclear, the rising cost of gas, the lack of ‘on-demand’ that wind and solar offer, that the H2 economy is not already in an advanced stage.
Even at a higher initial production cost the benefits of H2 power are so obvious.! The GB gov’t H2 strategy document was very disappointing. Maybe they are ‘playing politics’ prior to cop26.?, waiting to announce £bn’s investment in a new H2 strategy for clean reliable production to feed on-demand power supply from a variety of FuelCell types.? Otherwise they look to be a bit clueless, with a tunnel vision for more and more wind turbines.!
Quite agree Hmch, although 65-70 is a bit conservative.!
Just keeping an eye on the volume as the only indicator at the moment. So much that could affect sentiment possible from a few different sources, ABB, Mace, and quite feasibly GB gov’t prior to COP. Still expecting AFC to continue putting out updates on different parts of their business, specifically manufacturing, BKGulf, employees, and Harrier Hanger progress soon.
It has been quiet, likely very busy aswell.!
couple of £20k buys today pushing the SP up, although still very low volumes so will likely remain in this 53-55p range until news and an increase in volume.
as we approach Q4, maybe AFC are planning a trail of updates to meet possible new investors Peel may attract.? The statements this year have all pointed to activity in H2, and so quite reasonable, and very welcome, that news-flow starts to pick-up. There are certainly many aspects of the growing business that AFC could update shareholders, and leading upto COP26 seems appropriate timing.
How many companies could be considering the option of ‘self sufficiency’ with an AFC/ABB charge system for an electric fleet of delivery vehicles.?
Problems arise, …solutions follow.
Great find Bianco.
and very interesting to be in the category ‘commercial technology’.!
186k vol in first hour, low, 0%+/-, B>S.
Can’t deny that an ABB update re: ‘system fully integrated’ tomorrow would help to get this back into the 60p range toward £500m Mcap, post this recent general market shake-up. Looking for B>S at close on 4-5m vol.
Any chartists see that support has been double tested.?
DOWN 3.4%, B=S, 3.4m vol.
Highest volume for a long while, S>B most of the day until S=B. Will be interesting, probably not to many.!, to see whether the volume starts to build now. Already looking at nearly 25% rise just to get back to £500m Mcap that was steady for so long, and has only been followed by good news.!
garone, “hopefully today’s announcement is the first of many in the coming weeks.”
Why hope.? And these big deals take time, maybe another RNS in coming weeks, maybe not. ABB are busy, similarly Mace, likely DeNora, Altaaqua and Ricardo developing the FuelCell system that might be applicable to boats and trains.?, again two huge markets beyond what is already in the foreground.
athansius, I don’t mean literally o/n, and all the right noises about FuelCells and ammonia will be required. As for an Mcap in the region of £4-5bn, with so many different market opportunities generally all of which have global potential, it does not seem unreasonable. 50p to 500p has happened on the stock market many times, and with the variety of applications alongside the USP could see this break-out of sector sentiment.
Anyways, just my humble opinion, comparing market potential with the likes of ITM, Ceres, then AFC looks, long-term, to have more possibilities. Just feels that things are really lining-up now, and it might happen quickly, justifiably, and soon.?
No big reaction to this news, …1.8m vol, S > B.
With all the progress this year, the management of both supply & demand, things do look set fair for a big re-rate of SP/Mcap. IMVHO, 250p could just happen virtually over-night any time.! And from that sort of position, with the right sounds coming from ABB, Mace, and govt’s, etc, 500p does not seem unreasonable.!
Just feels that there are not too many angles that have not been necessarily addressed approaching full commercialisation. All imvho.
This latest news illustrates the diversity of dealings AFC and Mr Bond have been undertaking through the past year. Had the Urban airport business just been looking at maybe 6-10 locations over the next 3yrs, then it might well have not been enough to warrant the effort in negotiations from AFC.? That UAP have a vision for 60+ locations shows the level of enquiries AFC are following up.
While ABB may look like next most likely news, AlkaMem/DeNora have been noticeably quiet for the most part of 2021.!
Thanks for that Fci, another very well written note.
It is this type of ‘left-field’ announcement that shows the breadth of adaptability the FuelCell has. With Urban-Air starting up, with plans to be global, this could represent a long-term income stream that has growth potential.
Clearly though, this needs to be the first of many such deployments within a growing number of markets.
T/A: only 1m traded in first 2hrs.!, Sells > Buys, after 5m+ vol Wednesday, SP movement will need closer to 8-10m volume, …maybe later.?
Buys 1.8m.v.1m sells, DOWN 5%.
Still very low volume, will be interesting to see any late reported trades later that might explain the slide to 52p. Now showing £388m Mcap.! so plenty of room for a 20% rise just to get back to recent stable £450m Mcap.
From the RNS 16.8.21, the AFC/ABB system will be integrated over the next few weeks.
That could translate as the first fully integrated system on display to prospective clients likely from next week, or during September (Q3’21). In the RNS it was also stated that a joint marketing strategy will be made, so maybe reasonable to expect a short advertising film this month which AFC will likely release as confirmation of successful integration with ABB charger.
First chance saloon.!
Are you not adding up the number of required stages that need to be achieved in order to bring this new technology FuelCell from R&D into targeted market maximum supply potential in collaboration with a number of partners and suppliers. Mr Bond has stated expectations are for news on orders this year, there is an expectation that news of orders will be announced this year.
Buys just more than sells this morning of only 800k volume, and holding 60p+. Will be positive just to hold above 60/61p today. Although insignificant volumes, this could be a steady rise to meet news/update on the ABB operations.
Yesterday showed volume 1m, so did not include the 18.00hrs late trade. Today buys=sells@750k=1.5m and volume shows 3m.? So this rise to 61p appears unsubstantiated, all a bit strange, and no telling what will happen tomorrow although likely 59p.
