Absolutely right - what a dog - who would want to buy into a share that has no support following a heavily hyped Science Day. The only thing the SD changed was increasing the head winds for the get rich quick monkeys. So what is science for any way? And who needs it? Certainly not the monkeys! Science requires faith, and there is no faith in the UK ... the police lie, politicians lie, bankers lie, why shouldn't scientists lie too ... But if that is not true there is always the NASDAQ

With you Mustang, I have worked for a variety of multinational and smaller companies, and who gets the top job is often nothing to do with being the best at being a CEO. Luck, right place-right time, small-minded politics, they all play their part. AS strikes me a well focused and well-up on the programme of technology and when you get a better sense of his drivers, you get a better sense of why his communications often fails to hit the mark for non-techies. But a genuine and capable CEO I believe him to be. What he/Avacta would benefit from is getting a Comms dept better than that FTI Consulting bunch, who strike me as well out of their depth!!

I am naturally a LTI, so I am sorry, I just do not get that someone would invest in a Pharma in Phase 1 trials and expect the 10 Bagger overnight. Then on what is good news, ends up selling on a fluctuating dip to 146. Do your research ffs. Ah, just beats me every time. But then again I have an attention span greater than the average gnat that seems to be prevalent from, dare I say, younger souls these days. Apologies for the generalisation, but that's the picture I am getting, so I just hope us LTIs have got this right ... and your timeline sounds right to me.

THEIR time FFS - Level of English on here is really poor. Apologies I have picked on you, but really so many people on here should get a grip ... and at least a GCSE in English.

One 'unknown trade' this morning way below market price boundaries at 36, decent size compared to everything else traded today which was pretty low volume = bad trading day, down 10.5%, and a hefty 70% on the year.

No comms to seemingly trigger that ... is this just more of a death spiral or does anyone see any signs of hope?

Thing is what am I missing here ... this weeks RNS virtually all but said 'it works' and the SP has just about shifted 5p and some one/outfits are still shedding shares. Surely day trading isn't providing sufficient dosh compared to what must be obvious by now ... I repeat ... WTF am I missing here??

Mr Ripley made a very good point this morning that Avacta “seem to have incredibly talented scientists but no real PR machine or investor relations”. This aspect resonated with me and I would suggest many others … that as investors we are trusting this company with our hard earned spondoolics and we would like a modicum of that trust reciprocated with their 4Q update ... as promised … T Minus 9 Days & Counting …

Decent Financials and a company in a death spiral ... I'll grant you that is perplexing ... trouble is what is going to change that sinking feeling???

Do you think AS or anyone trusted within his earshot think they have sufficiently informed the market that ‘it does work’ … as some here have suggested by virtue of a passing note in a PowerPoint presentation???

That being the case, are AS et al happy the market is valuing his company appropriately … OR IF NOT, why hasn’t AS and his Comms Dept been a bit more forthcoming or explicit?

If a company advises its trial results will hit the market 4Q22, then it either needs to, or it needs inform the market what is the situation.

Radio Silence just ain’t acceptable Comms folks! Unless they don't care of course (Ah, that's it!!)

@ Codejunkie: Are you a consultant by any chance? ... you are certainly good at stating the bleeding obvious. Loosen up and get a sense of humour by actually reading what I wrote. You are clearly not a comms expert either are you? But you are not alone there!!

One major theme of recent posts is the lack of communication coming out of Avacta. When clearly there is a sense that news is being withheld from shareholders. Could this be wilful ignorance of the needs of the company’s support base and shareholder demands?

So I thought a quick inspection of Avata’s website. Which has a headed section devoted to News – but this merely lists the RNSs we have all seen. So that is no help.

A further trawl headlines an Investors Section, with … ‘Latest News’ … but nothing there more recent than 18 Oct 2022.

Am I wrong or does everything seem to currently cry “Nothing to see here … move on folks”

But wait, what is this … FTI Consulting, the proud communications experts … will they come and help management with a decent comms strategy??? Going to their website I see they have a Healthcare and Life Sciences section, surely they are the cavalry ... and they have a list of ‘experts’!! But I have never seen such a plethora of ‘Senior Managing Directors’ ... five in all! I have never seen the like before, and they are ably assisted one a single ‘Managing Director’ who looked just about old enough to be doing ‘A-Level’ homework.

Ah, Consultants ay, people whose primary skill is to tell you the time … on your own watch!!

Looks like patience is the primary skill we all need right now!!

The trick is to switch it on first - haha. Someone might just have done that now ;)
