Probably the latter Josh as Ashman has a habit of screwing things up!!

As each day passes it is clear that Ashman is and always will be the weakest link. He holds an AGM in the middle of nowhere and changes the rules so he can't be voted out. Clearly running scared. Has a Q&A with Elrico and then thinks his job is done. A fantastic half-year he says but no details are forthcoming. An IMC in January he says, then hides in his bunker sulking like he always does. MD owns nearly 18% of the company and according to Shychap who lives around the corner from him, Ashman hasn't even bothered to pick-up the phone and have a chat with MD. His biggest shareholder and Ashman can't be bothered. He raises £4.1m to support Superdrug role out and then tells us absolutely nothing about it. Anybody visiting the stores or web-site can see what a flop he's got. As for Croda Royalties, you have to try and work that out for yourself as Croda have him chained to his bunker since the April 2025 launch and he isn't telling us anything and whatever you do don't try finding out from anybody else as it will jeopardise the contract . Really, I don't think so!!

Rob, one thing you need to learn from Ashman is not to believe anything he says. His track record backs that up.

Looks to me like there is a lack of confidence in Ashman sticking to his promises of either an IMC in January or any early release of H/Y results. Has the flying start he mentioned in the Q&A already come crashing down? Time will tell, but don't hold your breath on Ashman telling us anything until March. As for Croda Royalties, the 1 year launch anniversary on 8th April will come & go without a murmur. Hoping I'm wrong, but the signs are worrying.

Are you surprised? What Ashman says and what Ashman does never align. He won't have released H/Y results so he has nothing to say. Croda won't let him talk, Superdrug is a flop so he has to wait until H/Y results are released, probably sometime in March when he normally announces. I know he said he might release them earlier, but he will want to see some progress in Superdrug in Jan/Feb otherwise what did he need £4m for?

By the way, it's been more than 9 months since the Croda launch last April, will we have to wait a year before he tells us anything. Probably!!

Josh, I'm sure Elric and Tom go back a longtime and have had many ups and downs along the way. I don't know if it is all in the public domain or not. In any event, I'm not judging either way. As I said I have a lot of time for Elric even though he does sometimes lose the plot in Ashman's company as he clearly demonstrated in a previous interview by applauding how great Ashman was and forgot a key question.

Elric means well, he is a big investor here and he clearly has a long standing working relationship with SA. Let's be clear, without Elric's continuing clearing up of SA's awful comms most of us would probably have left a longtime ago.

IMHO, TW has always been good at exposing frauds and poor performing companies rather than recommendations of shares to buy into, although SBTX seemed an exception to that rule. That said, he seems to have shot himself in the foot on SBTX, selling too early as did Billy boy the Dustbin man.

I don't know the history of shychap with Elric and frankly I don't really care. I prefer to look forward and see how things can be improved with better investors (MD over OPTI) and improved leadership of this company by holding Ashman and Hunt to account. Time will decide how this plays out and if things don't improve there will be changes, of that I have no doubt.

Josh, every day is a new day. I don't have any issues with Elric, I like his analysis. Tom is a bit weird but he doesn't mean any harm. I don't think your analysis is balanced, bit too arty for my liking. As for Ashman, he continually lets himself down with over promises and under delivery. We need a new CEO here and I think deep down you think so as well. It's healthy to have polarised views on these chat boards otherwise what's the point.
