From today’s Ft......much the same as Times referred to below:
“Savings and investment group M&G rallied after a Bloomberg report stating that rival Schroders had contemplated buying the fund manager. Ray Douglas”
Same as Allied Minds which he also tipped. Might have a long wait on both that and this.
Ft suggested a few weeks back that PE would buy this. In the mean time we get paid to hold :)
You might want to look at Renergen on the JSE and Aus where they are sitting on a massive deposit and contracts to boot on a sub £140;million market cap
Spac, how can you be so sure?
Seems there was a Newlands bounce which has now run its course? Can’t really find why their involvement is viewed as such a positive.
Yes I see, thanks Rich. Was also big sale so maybe just not many shares available when i called.....but hopefully won’t matter in a few months.
What’s the significance of their purchase?
Seems to me the smart money is accumulating taking advantage of PI losing patience......understandable perhaps if you have been holding for years but IMHO the Moroccan farm in is a new deal and should be looked at afresh rather than in the light of previous disappointments.
Not sure if broker ripping me off - said would buy for me a few thousand k at .151 then rang me 20 minutes later to say best he could do was .154. Oh well - I think these are worth a lot more so I paid up. Perhaps share was held down by director sales but results and prospects look strong.
I wonder if this company will capitalise on this news.
Total announces termination of gas exploration in Sa siting poor regulatory certainty.
Buyout coming sooner with chair resigning?
Maybe IG was the reason for recent weakness.......certainly looking stronger today. I agree that patience is required for best returns here.
Could be 9.78 was paid because of the size of the order - well above normal market size.
Volume spike and share decline if you look at the technical chart. I feel this is close to bottom and just picked some up at 9p. Tempted to buy more .
The solar farm aspect is interesting. Sa is liberalising electricity market so the timing looks good for possible moves into that market. That’s where the owners operated mines for many years.
Could this be a precursor to a partnership with Total to develop the gas field?
Probably the takeover lot buying cheaply in the market. I sold put at £1.15 - probably not worth hanging around for many months for an extra 3p although maybe a dividend will be added as a sweetener.
Seems very cheap at £1.18
