oh just noticed your message was very old......if you bought then you would be doing well.

This is a great long term buy and hold. it's dropped recently IMHO because of the threat of any oil and gas supplies from Russia. I would suggest buying half your budget here now and then await developments for deploying the rest. just my opinion.

in hind sight....tsg a lucky escape?

Active hedging perhaps explains inertia in shares? However I have bought some but much patience gonna be required imho. Maybe 2022 will give them some exposure to rising oil?

Disappointed to see directors abandoning ship. Better choices elsewhere perhaps. Trading update not great Imho.

Expected Pay date: 4th November 2022
Evraz plc has announced its intention to Demerge its coal business Raspadskayam (RASP, a Russian only listed stock). Holders will be issued with 0.4255477880 in RASP shares for each Evraz plc share held. For registered holders that are not able to hold Russian listed stock, the company are offering a Share Sale Facility whereby the RASP entitlements will be sold at a date and price to be determined. Since Interactive Investor do not support trading on the Moscow Exchange, we will be participating in the Share Sale Facility. Therefore, instead of receiving RASP shares, holders will receive cash in USD at a rate yet to be determined. Accounts will be credited upon receipt of the money.

Just got this message on II. I bought this morning so this message suggests that trading today I would still qualify for the payout?

Have been watching RT and their presenters etc saying Russia does not want war. I want to believe them but the one topic that is not covered is the troupe movements of the army which has given rise to the idea that a war is planned. No one know of course, good chance won’t be a hot war and one is paid to take the risk here. But if war the question re dividends is how Russian companies will pay dividends in UK a as no access to Swift could make the movement from Roubles to Sterling difficult.

Could not resist the value on offer here and so have bought. 5% DY. Enormous discount to NAV, rising profit, rising value of investment portfolio and rencent director purchase. Results due in a few weeks should make this rise. Great long term. I recall years ago they were going for 60p.

Actually the sale of Chrome is small as it’s R100 million………

Just read the recent update. I see 100 million gonna be paid to us for sale of Chrome operation. Mineral expl updates due. Strong cash generation. Patience will be rewarded here IMHO.
