I am PT1. Hoping for a similar result to the one we got here. On the face of it DDDD has many more assests than REDX did when it went into administration and they are much more developed with good clinical success. Given the $40m Loxo paid for REDX's BTK inhibitor $13m doesn't sound like much to find. I can see mulitple parties be willing to pay $100m+ for MRX0018 or Blautix alone.
However, administrators will try to clear all the debt (not sure $13m is the total figure); need to raise further cash to restore the business as a going concern and maybe those buyers won't be forthcoming in the current market.
I'm annoyed I bought some more recently because it had fallen so far but there's nothing I can do now so putting DDDD out of my mind until we find out more to be honest.
Key here was brining in Lisa Anson and associated big backers. If she can be cloned and sent over to DDDD they'll fly.
No idea what will happen here unfortunately. Can only say what happened there.
Might have mispoken there. Checked the chart. Opened 1.5x to 2x.
@Snodgrass, REDX holders came out with all their shares intact. There was a lot of dilution when the new CEO brought in new backers but despite that when it restarted trading it did multiples higher than when it closed.
I went through that process with REDX. It felt when Liverpool council called in the loan that it was all over and it did for a good few months after. The administrators sold the company's lead drug candidate to Loxo Oncology for $40M. Solved all the financial problems and restored the company. REDX restarted the rest of their pipeline and are now looking very good indeed.
Key to this was bringing in Lisa Anson as the new CEO who is first class. She was able to bring in other big backers.
It was a horrible and troubling time to be a holder and I don't know how often that sort of thing happens but dddd has many more assets than REDX did at the time. MRX0518 on it's own is way more advanced than the BTK inhibitor sold to Loxo. I'm sure it's already worth $100m + to Merck. So, hopefully the administrators will be similarly on the ball and be able to breath life back into DDDD by selling an asset.
Not great news but the company can do nothing about the weather or inflation. Once the market reverses and as milestones are achieved this period should be in the rear view mirror. Demand isn't slowing and sales prices are increasing as expected.
I agree it's very strange to be expanding a mine without a PFS. Nothing's gone wrong so far so maybe they need it for the later stages. Very odd though.
Great news. Surprised this one hasn't moved the SP at all. The market is in the toilet at the moment. I suppose there's no indication of how much will be incremental sales. Well done to the team though!
Absolutley BBD. One would hope that the scenario where Samsung fails to honour the court's decision is when an injunction would kick in. Feels like there must have been something dodgy or some hole in the case on Kaist's side though. I don't suppose you know who represented them?
Fair enough. Last RNA said, "The construction of the 18,000 tonnes per annum ("ktpa") second module to increase the Company's flake graphite capacity in Madagascar to 30ktpa remains on track to enter production in H2 calendar year 2022." I haven't watched all the interviews. If it was after the announcement then hopefully it supercedes it.
Where as we don't seem to go in for patent infringement in the UK BBD we do have our fair share of other corruption including bribery. See just one example from Rolls-Royce - https://www.bbc.com/news/business-38644114
I agree that Samsung's branding would be awkward but no doubt they would talk the role of the QDs down to incidental. It's the other tech that makes the experience / took all the investment / customers are buying it for. The quantum dots just happen to be there. Almost by accident. Presumably they would be laughed out of court as with the PTAB review but what do I know.
You're omitting the sentiment factor there as well NigWitty. If you're trying to time a trade you might get a bit more from the inevitable overshoot. Impossible to time of course.
It has indeed been done to death but it's always fun to speculate.
I think Samsung could very easily argue down that calculation. They will say that as their premium product line it wasn't just differentiated by QDs made using NANOs processes but also the way those dots were applied; and that they had new versions the company's image processing software; best sound hardware; etc.
