21 Sept 2014 "Lee Cameron of Monitise you are a frigging genius at this share trading game – when are you going to launch a course on how to do it? Forget working for Monitise as it is a busted flush, stick to this share trading, you are THE MAN
On Monday Cameron exercised 1.5 million options at 1p and promptly sold the lot at 44.5p. With the shares having traded at 80p just six months ago and with City analysts all screaming how cheap the shares were at 44.5p, others would have waited but Cameron is a genius in the share trading game so sold and netted £652.500. Ching.
And Monitise promptly granted him another 1.5 million options at 1p so that was all well and good. It is not as if Lee is going to be exactly on the poverty line. We do not have the 2014 annual report yet but in 2013 he got a total package worth £473,000 ( up from £454,000). Of that £230,000 was as a bonus. I wonder if – given the profits warnings and share price hammering of 2014 - Lee got a bonus this time. You know what? I bet he did. But after this share trade does he need it?
Just three days after Lee made his £652,500 killing, Visa decided to wind down its relationship with Monitise and dump its stock. And Monitise shares crashed to sub 30p. Obviously Mr Cameron, the Chief Commercial Officer who is “ responsible for Monitise's legal, commercial and communications activities” according to the company’s website had no idea what the company’s main commercial partner was considering at all.
Whatever, I am just saying that Lee is the king of the share traders. What a total hero for us all"
