BP is paying 8 per cent and the 52 week high is 517p. Where do you get a better deal?

No auntiebob.....I merely posted the chart view that this stock may well fall to 400p should a number of the vaccines be released. I am a buyer here and I ALWAYS look at both sides. The bull/bear position. That is why I do well.

As usual, the freeloading rampers come in. They are losing a fortune, many were wiped out yesterday, now have no position and are now very bitter. Things have changed for ALL of the covid stocks. Every sensible person knows this. It is true that I think that anyone who is managing to LOSE money on a covid stock in the middle of a pandemic should give up if they have family before they lose their homes and every penny they have but hey ho!

Many of you have a right cheek. You pay nothing for LSE yet you still moan.

When you PAY you have a right to complain. When you don't, shut up and move on if you dont like it. This site is for SERIOUS traders and investors not freeloaders gambling with pittances.

In to profit. Sold a few at 73p myself as I bought all the way down. The low was 42p in late September so this is some rally for a REIT. Looking for 80p to sell any more. News on a dividend will propel this back to 100p I think.

Just 90p and I will be breakeven. I think the overhang is cleared and I could see 100p if this big rally continues. Down a huge amount and a big cash pile. The covid stocks might spike early and then tank again. 88 per cent are long on NCYT on the spreads; it fell 560p at one stage from the open. £5600 loss per 1000 shares that would have cost just £70 earlier this year. Plenty will be looking at closed positions tonight with £50 to 100 grand demands for urgent cash payment. Luckily the deposits have to be much higher these days but that can be double edged when a stock falls like this. Mkts and shares are dangerous and lots of novices have been hurt badly today.

A fair argument. NCYT has made a lot of money this year and that may continue way into next year. It could easily build up a good business here....unlike the other testers that are turning into dawgs. Who would buy this now with a vaccine next year? On a two year timescale?

I added today to a freeroll at 590p. But who knows the price in a week or month? Might halve again. The market makers might hit this hard in the morning. Private investors took a real bath today on covid stocks and might not have the money or appetite to have another go.

Every broker ...almost...was down today for a while both here and in the US. I was locked out of Hargreaves for two hours today. I still got in here for a few below 90p. Whether it will bounce tomorrow who knows?

Good move on NCYT. Testing is still needed but product must be in mkt now. By next April Covid may well be history.

Sold the placing stock a little early ...just before the vaccine announcement!

This looked exp at 60p last night. It looks cheap at 70p tonight. The vaccine might be 6 months away but the mkts don’t mind that. They like certainty and NRR will now have no problem selling some assets / raising new money.

I got in here at 590 ...just...and then the broker sites crashed until nearly 4pm. Same in the US. I don’t think people were selling at the lows. Stop losses and I really wonder how low the spreads went down. I have been told 470...but you could not buy at that price. That was just closing and those with limited but enough margin would have been crushed. Those forced sells fed into the mkt. The market makers are now flush with stock bought at silly prices. So I reckon 700p in the morning. Boy the City made some money today

The suggested offer of 250p in cash was made on 26 October i.e. a week before the Alchemy prospectus was issued.....and what did the Board of Countrywide say or do? Nothing much or so it seems.

It is clear from the wording today from Connells that they want all of the management out...".Connells believes that Countrywide needs a new management team, with real estate agency expertise..". Blunt, rude even or what! Almost a football chant; "you don't know what you are doing". Mind you, I fully agree with them. The rather cosy arrangement with Alchemy will now need to see a lot more money on the table.

I have to wonder if the directors of Countrywide have to be reminded that their main role is to work for the benefit of the shareholders rather than hang on to their very well paid positions.

A counterbid at 300p is certainly possible. Will be a buyer if this falls back to 200p

Finally sold my placing shares today at 393p. Been a while. I had expected to sell quickly for a small profit.

Holding the stock I bought below 300p for results this week. TW results today look good so perhaps a rally here to about 450p.

Wow. Bought these at 50p in March / April! Always thought the brands were worth a lot of money. Rumours about stake building for months in the Agents press. Sold most of them now but not all.....as I expect many did.

Below 95. The results are average but lots more going on and not all going to be spectacular. Thats gold mining for you. Very risky. Buying below 95 is a great punt.....and Rock is and always has been a punt. GGP was ditto. Fingers crossed that Rock hit the big one.
