Hi Stuartbarriskell I'm not a holder here but shares are trading as normal. The reference to the 15th is the date of a General Meeting where the former chairman (and significant shareholder) has tabled a resolution to put himself and his son-in-law back on the board of directors.
We are preparing them [for listings], but everything depends on the market, Mr Beisengaliyev (Sov wealth fund manager) said in an interview. Can't think of a better way to improve the market than cutting production before the IPO, can you?
Dunno. Reckon I might sell half here and buy back on ASX when they even out. At least it wouldn't annoy me as much. GCL is a strange one. Positive uranium sentiment and it doesn't really budge, URA and spot pulls back and it goes up. I tried to short it the other day, good job I couldn't (I try and trade when I'm bored, don't do it folks, never ends well) bet it's close to trading at or above NAV at the minute, which is perculier for GCL. Bet URA bought us on ASX. Might account for it. Wow, lots of acronyms, I must be well clever innit?
This board would be very quiet if you stopped posting Baht. This is one of the boards where I think everyone makes a good contribution.
Correct flundra. I specifically remember this being explained as you just stated. I just cant remember where it was explained! (interview maybe?)
I'm sure I had significantly more cash at 5pm last night, whats all that about?
Drives me mad. These people either don't understand or are very bliknered to the need for nuclear power as a base load. You really think pumping out all manner of crap into the environment is th way forward? Or maybe they could live without electricity? Oppose nuclear power? Fine, just have no electricity between 8am - 10am and 5pm - midnight to ease your conscience, happy with that greenies? No, thought not. Grow up.
There might be quite a few waiting for HUM first pour before picking some up here.
You may very well be right Tiger. However I'm not that brave. We marked up over 10% overnight on this news and all other U3O8 shares are either ASX or TSX/NYSE so news will tend to drop out of hours for us, leaving more opportunity for mark ups/downs. Being as I don't trade full time I'm more comfortable just adding on any dips with this baby, look at the SP movement in URA (Global X) around new year '17, scary fast! Also other catalysts for us with expected near term news flow and the associated de-risking of the mine build, too many upside triggers for me. But good luck with it, hope to see you here again soon. And I also agree with whoever mentioned they have a feeling about a further cut announcement by Kazprom. I also have that feeling, especially now they are setting up a spot market, wouldnt surprise me at all.
Someone at our place of work in Norwich installing lightning protection today - Guess who? Seems like a nice chap and says he has plenty of work on the books.
As you say Tiger, don't think the Omanis are your typical investor. Plus they have price options for the U3O8 built into the deal so I'm not worried about them flipping. Not fair but reasonable is somewhat harsh IMO. If you consider the relative stability of the investor and the fact that the deal still gives us good exposure to a rising U3O8 price then I'm pretty happy. Sure could have been a lot worse. Zona 7 style deposits still a distinct possibility, expected rising prices and further dilution at a much higher SP. Shows some confidence I feel.
Longest AGM Notice EVER! Well certainly the longest I've ever pretended to read (I'll get on it)
I was going to suggest nexgen but I've yet to look at it in detail, had a brief look and thought it was about its moneys worth at the minute, very high capex requirement and unsure of how it is being sourced iirc, very impressive resource though. I don't think there is a rush to grab it (unless there is a uranium boom of course) Also hold deep yellow as others on here do and Greenland minerals and energy which is more REE with a uranium side order, I can't recall why I latched onto that one, did global x take a big holding? Rings a bell
Picked some up mid morning, been watching it for a while. Seems like a nice 'boring' one to add to my portfolio
Yes I would agree with that to some extent. SP's are a funny thing in general. I'm involved in HUM who are also building a mine and that SP has seemingly only reacted slightly to build progress. I think in these types of projects there is a lot of cash sitting on the sidelines, waiting for movement in price if not news. Upgrading the resource will add to the overall value of the mine so one would have though that will push the SP up as will the general uranium sector and price (and that's why we are all here after all) I tend to focus on how things are going and not what the SP is doing otherwise I'd be constantly banging me head against the wall. Whatever the SP is I'm a great deal more comfortable here than I was before financing was announced but dont be surprised if we drop down below 'placing' price.
So we've 'diluted' the company, at a price and set of prices that are premium to current SP, what were people expecting exactly? An unsecured loan to a junior aim company miner that hasn't built its mine yet in a low price market? Perhaps we should have placed at market level to get the funding, that would have made everyone happy would it? We also have a potential customer that we can sell to on the same terms as off take agreements that are signed, which we are now in no particular rush to sign and that will no doubt be influenced by Kazproms actions to sure up the spot market. Maybe we should have just mothballed it until the U3O8 price rose? That would have done wonders for my investment. We are funded to build and still have exposure to a potential rising market, as far as it goes I'm satisfied.
Lovely jubbly
Are we still awaiting a final permission of some kind? I have it in the back of my mind that we are *makes mental note of writing research down rather than trying to keep it in his head* Anyway, in my mind the situation is clear whether PA is doing too many investor events or touching his nose too much or generally looking shifty or being paid too much or not. - We need to obtain the remaining fianance be it through strategic investor, placing or whatever. At the minute the cards aren't really in our hands so we either sell, hold or buy more. How are everyone else's Uranium shares doing? Mine are generally performing worse than this one, so what's that say?
Problem is PA has set a deadline so I would think if he fails to meet it we may see a reaction (unless U3O8 prices pick up which should override any pull back) As far as I can tell from the last accounts we are not desperate for cash. IMO PA thinks the SP is too low and was trying to underpin it with his promises, personally I prefer a BOD that under promises and over delivers and if he's said August and Dosent hit it we will no doubt get smacked. High ii holdings should steady us to some extent I expect, and if there is a pull back on no funding news at what price does this become a REAL bargain? Maybe he's hoping on the resource upgrade to lift the SP before agreeing funding? And also it must be a balancing act to get a deal on funding in a low price environment, especially when you expect the price to rise
