General of the State, Dr. Narson Galeno received this Wednesday, 19, the representative of the company Zamin, the lawyer Washington Pimentel Júnior, in addition to the Secretary of Environment of the State, Robério Nobre. The meeting was attended by the support team of Sema, and the State Attorneys, Dr. Francisco Feijó, Dr. Raul Silva Júnior, Dr. Wellington Bringel de Almeida and Dr. Mayara Lourenço.
The meeting was to discuss the procedures for removing ore from Zamin, recalling the company's judicial recovery action, highlighting the importance of removing the ore allocated in the Port of Santana, and the resumption of this extraction, since the mining company alleges a waits for four months from the beginning of the ore withdrawal procedures.
PGE, as a legal body representing the Government, brokered with Sema, the negotiations to resolve this impasse, given the need for the sale and deposit of the amounts in court. He checked with Companhia Docas de Santana (CDSA) about the licensing procedures to be adopted, and this in turn directed the demand to the State Secretariat for the Environment.
Sema, in order to simplify the procedures regarding the current withdrawal, suggested the adoption of environmental authorization, requesting some documents. He stressed the importance of aligning the dealings to resolve the case that is the subject of this meeting.
For the Attorney General, Dr. Narson Galeno, it is important to debate these demands in order to reach an agreement, but following the legal procedures required, in order to safeguard the legal security of the State of Amapá.
At the meeting, it was decided that the company should present the documents and send the environmental control plan requested by Sema by August 21 of this year.
