20.07 No not short at all, never short companies, I will watch how this pans out, didn’t really want to get drawn into such a debate to be honest but got a little annoyed by something someone said that clearly lives in a bubble and then felt the need to filter me just because I had a difference of opinion. I made my profit and hopefully it will all end happy with a takeover in the future, hopefully for you at a premium.
19.55 forgive me for forever finding the obvious objective, but just because a director or management take shares instead of salary and participate in fundraising doesn’t make any difference, firstly they may hold millions of shares already in offshore trusts that were hoovered up at sub 1p, that aren’t declared holdings. So to take a few in a higher placing price to try and install confidence in investment to their company is peanuts. They could well be selling there sub 1p shares right now, to pay for their next fundraising contribution. Don’t be so naive to think this doesn’t happen because it does
19.26 Finders produced 13,000 tonnes of copper cathode in the first half year of last year and still only had an offer of about $178 million. I wouldn’t say that was encouraging news for ARS who haven’t produced anything but drill results.
19.26 As part of broader changes to Indonesia’s mining law, the government has required that all mining firms build smelters in-country; convert their existing contracts into more flexible permits; and, for those with a foreign majority shareholder, divest a 51 percent stake in their operations to local partners within a decade of the mines coming into production. That’s not encouraging new investment in my opinion
All I’m saying is open your eyes and be careful, nothing is for certain in Indonesia, especially when big money is involved. I don’t have the time to argue with everyone or do their homework, you can all make your own decisions, I just got fed up reading all the hype on this thread with not any real objective comments which needed to be said, there is for sure 110% highrisk here, especially if bigmoney is involved, they will need to guard their licences with brown envelopes everywhere, Indonesia operates like Gertler in the Congo, yeh have a punt but I certainly wouldn’t put a large part of my portfolio in here.

Daisan, we all have our reasons for our investments/ decisions but perhaps ands some times it’s good to stir a few complacent minds that lose touch with reality. I invested here in the early days at 5p under KLG and took my profits recently. There has been many aim companies with supposedly large deposits of one metal or another and forgive me for being pessimistic but they very rarely make it to production with major dilution or a government deciding they want to tax it or take it back. It’s a corrupt world we live in and im sure a few eyes will be mulling over ways to get there dirty hands on ARS assets cheaply or free. I know for sure a few on got upset when I dare mention what happened to Churchill Mining, no one expected that either, and if you don’t know what happened to them in Indonesia, research it, they were robbed of their assets after investing millions. Be careful that’s all I can say, once bitten, twice shy and at current mcap I think ARS is not worth the risk in my portfolio. How much do you think they would need to raise to bring this into production £100-200m ?
I don’t deny there is good potential here but in my opinion (unlike most on this thread) this will not go up in a straight line. Those that think this will are blinded by there own greed and will undoubtedly be over exposed when the powers that be decide to push this back to trigger some cash strapped sells. Wake up guys, it was .7p now 12p a decent profit has been made by many, some people won’t like seeing that profit slip away, it’s about investor mentality not only about fundamentals, the fundamentals are good but it means nothing in a bear market (WHICH WILL COME AGAIN) and when it does, every article on Bloomberg will all of sudden be bearish on copper and explorers will dog s.... GLA this is not the beginning of a bull market
That’s exactly my point tomcorvid, I’m playing the game on this one, once all the fundraising ends and the brokers have earned their fees It will inevitably tank. Assuming they wish to take this into production, it will take many years, and all those investors who got in cheap at 1p 2p 3-4p will start to sell, especially when the markets next collapse, which I’m almost certain will happen before ARS gets anywhere with turning that resource into real returns. It’s all jam tommorow, heard it all before, let’s have this conversation in 5 years
When Liberum start to pump something it’s normally the kiss of death, this may rise whilst the company wishes to use brokers to raise cash, but when the fees stop coming in this will mark my words be smacked back to peanuts just like AAZ was, I may have been wrong on my post about AAZ in 2016 but I don’t claim to be right about everything and if you looked at all my posts you would see I was buying them at 5p and no one would listen, if this does go back to 2-3p none of you would say or think anything different of me, I have my opinion and you have yours, these message boards are full of dreamers who don’t like it when someone else doesn’t agree with their valuation, next you will probably tell me AAZ isn’t worth £1.10 but ARS is.. but that’s Aim for you
This will be retreat back 3-4p before you ever see a dime get mined here, MCap is huge for a company with a few drill results, Indonesia’s law is questionable, didn’t do Churchill Mining any favours proving up reserves. Maybe I’ll be proven wrong but I doubt it. This is aim market, shareholders will keep being diluted and the only beneficiaries will be the management, and the pump and dump gang
