The RNS refers to the 2024 Accounts. These have not been published. Agreed there is a forensic review of past published accounts.

Their would be a conflict of interest if the auditors both prepared and audited the accounts.

So yes Managment prepares the accounts but judiciously might ask there financial advisors to check.

Three things strike me.

1 - if SID are providing interim funding it's really a poison pill to any other bidder.

2 - I don't understand why creditors would not agree to the proposal. SID surely have a better credit rating than WG. I had thought they might be applying a haircut - driving the disagreement ? T

3. The requirement to avoid modified accounts piles pressure on the Auditors as the deal fails. The way to avoid modified accounts is to kitchen sink write downs on the balance sheet [ removing uncertainty]. Sid get a clean start and it disincentives any other bidder.

All these three things seem to clear the path for an uncontested take over.

I think Sid have played a blinder as a keen acquirer.

Dissapointed as a SH but would really like the 30p to be guaranteed I hope it is.
