Athansius, the liquid system was a huge hit. May be not in a commercial sense but to prove feasibility of the alkaline fuelcell system. Proven by Extreme E and supported by ABB. A much better approach than some other companies that have just thrown out to the market a working system with no thought about cost or fuel flexibility. I bet there are hundreds of fuelcell systems that can simply generate power but how many can generate power in a low cost fuel flexible system? Not many to boast about. From a construction delivery perspective the AFC system in its HFC or S series is the answer.
Desertwolf. As I have said, being involved with major construction I can tell you that simply buying several fuelcell systems would never happen. I would expect that many of the 50 customers AB has intimated will still convert. Construction companies will trial one or two at a time whilst rental companies may buy a few. But perhaps not until a few have hit the sites. A time I believe is upon us.
I'm not sure what people are expecting. The transition to clean power is upon us. It won't take 5 minutes. AFC have a product range to be the best placed in the market to take advantage. Most of the other are too rigid in design, size and fuel type and ultimately cost.
