I cannot believe I have not read about Ebioss or visited their website. That is a good find aandi. GDF Suez, now Engie are a leader in the ownership and operations of EfW plants. In fact I have worked on one many years ago. Seeing as they claim to be a European leader in this market there is a very strong chance that they could be the same company DP talks about in the Billingham RNS.
Further information about the Project
As previously announced by EQTEC, the Project at Billingham, UK, is part of a number of projects currently being reviewed by a European owner-operator of waste to energy infrastructure. It is expected that, following completion of a final credit review and requisite documentation, the European owner-operator will provide the financing required for the construction phases and then commercially operate the plants.
The gasification projects using Eqtec gasification equipment are looking likely to be the most economically viable of all EfW. As an owner operator like Engie would be able to see. I have no doubt that DP and the team have demonstrated to a high level just how well the equipment can perform having over 125k hours of operational data plus testing of 50 different feed stocks. For a company like Engie to finance a build makes perfect sense. They understand the market and the economics, they know how to operate. This would leave Eqtec with construction revenues and revenues from operations and maintenance. It would be interesting to see how any finance agreement is set up. Regardless, it will be a major achievement to get financial close across the line and construction started. Strong possibility that much could be tied up by the 28th February which I believe is the exclusivity option milestone date.
We could be in for a very special few months. Genuinely excited by Eqtec and the opportunities they have before then this year.
