So there are to be two tranches. The first circa 95m which is made up of 'the placing' , 'the primary bidoffer' and 'the subscription'.
We know the subscription is for 625,000 so what is the split between the placing and the primary bid offer shares?
The placing shares have clearly been touted to institutional investors and other organisations and I would expect that this would be a large percentage of the 92m. So what volume of the 92m shares from the first tranche was actually available to PIs yesterday ?
Having read the RNS again, you can twist this in several ways. I wanted to sleep on it and seee how I interpret this in the morning. Having been awake since 3 am I needed to take a look.
I cannot see that the placing is to be put to bad use. It sounds like they have been inundated with enquiries leading to orders. The process of communication and negotiation would have been much easier had AFC had several units built and ready for deployment. I can understand this if they so much interest that customers have no idea of delivery dates.
So, AFC have taken the decision to accelerate manufacturing of the H-Power systems 20kw and 160kw to meet potential orders. This does not mean that they will not fulfill imminent orders or orders which are currently under NDA. They do not disclose all information as we know they have made 'commercial sales' of Alkamem but we dont know who to and for how much.
By accelerating the production AFC are meeting projected demand and deployment requirements in the next 12 to 24 months.
It will be the orders that fire the share price up. To deploy systems in the next 12 months, starting from a base of zero capacity, raising £30m and then accelerating production, AFC would have to be very confident that orders will be placed immediately as in today, tomorrow, next week or August. I am sure they do not expect to deploy 1 x 160kw system in the next 6 months and build a shed load more without knowing they can sell them.
I will remain positive on this. It does to some degree explain the silence. The media storm is just about to start. With the right investor and a number of sales this will move in line with CWR and ITM MCaps. Providing we have whats required. Capital and human resource and sales.
£1bn MCap is noble unrealistic and still gives a SP of £1.50. Who's to say that AFC has not got the superior fuel cell product and Adams played a blinder. Sky is the limit for a commercially viable fuel cell system. Who knows, maybe we could be receiving dividends in 24 - 36 months.
Good luck everyone. Good things come to those who wait !
