Ben Richardson, CEO at SulNOx, confident they can cost-effectively decarbonise commercial shipping. Watch the video here.
I note that I paid a premium to the ask when I purchased 3000 shares. Is this due to a small free float ?
Actually just added a few more. I don't mind boring and trading at a discount to NAV.
Also finally added SYNT. Hadn't seen the price today until you mentioned them. I'm sure they were nearer £3 yesterday when I looked
After a little research and another poster mentioning these I've added a small starter position. The quarterly update is at least positive. Would be nice to see the SP appreciate and the dividend to stay roughly at where it is. Will continue to watch the SP and add more on any weakness
Thanks Trek
Yes. Always do my own research. I was actually looking for the negatives but you haven't listed any !
Appreciate the other you mention. I am currently holding PHNX and got my eye on SYNT.
Thanks
Have been researching here over the last few days and seriously considering adding further today. I am aware of the disposal of the Brazilian assets and the global foot print GLO have with a wide range of energy producing assets. revenue may be impacted this year but margin is apparently increasing as will dividend yield with a policy or claim to increase 10% YoY. That would make this years at this price over 8% as I believe Trek said in a previous post.
Is this a defensive stock ? a little boring perhaps ? (thats what I like) Is it under valued to NAV ?
What am I missing ? where are the or what are the negatives ?
Haggis ranting on again. Even his words are not stopping this. A few have said this will be back in the 20s. I do agree it is not entirely to do with Adam Bond or AFC, its market wide. I just cant see how it can be defended. Just have to let it do its thing now.
Massive drop across the market today. Been going on for some time now. Surely recessions and inflation is priced in ? Some fairly defensive stocks have been well and truly shafted over the last 12 months.
well I have added 104 shares this morning. Nothing massive but gradually building for the long term.
And buying back shares with spare capital...........
Bought my first here. 5k starter pot at 190p. Been keeping an eye on these for some time. Spreading capital around and will leave some as just cash. Seem to be a solid dividend payer and relatively stable SP for now.
The SP has nothing to do with a companies ability to pay dividends. Dividend policy is based upon a payout to earnings ratio set by the company. SP is based on market perception. If fundamentally the earnings and the business is unchanged then a lower SP makes the yield more attractive. Its just a matter of knowing when to buy. Seems everything defensive is being hit right now. Tech stocks and growth stocks the hardest.
kind of supports what I was saying only last week, only to be shot down by Haggis. The construction industry wants to get to net zero construction but is many years away from flooding sites with fuelcell systems. I still believe fuelcell systems are the answer but they will be supported by solar, battery storage and perhaps wind if there is a long term site establishment. On their own these are not perhaps sufficient and the fuel cell can provide instantaneous balance of power. However, all the time diesel generators are owned by hire companies the drive will be to utilise these using cleaner fuels (cleaner meaning renewable or sustainable) such as HVO. This is what I am seeing anyway.
If you can imagine a site establishment with several 40 ft cabins there is significant roof space to adopt solar on each. This will be nowhere near sufficient to power a site if the vehicles are all EV's but it will provide 10s of kw's and is very cheap.
Just read another of your posts directed at me Haggis. Where do I 'bash the company' ?
Not something I did. Clearly made a statement that the construction industry is in the early stages of moving towards net zero construction and it will be several years before fuelcells take off.
Where is the bashing of AFC?
I don't actually post that much anymore. The board has become much less technical content and too much back biting of individuals.
Get on with it. I will leave you to it. I'll keep my views to myself in future.
1. You said you had filtered me
2. I'm not attacking you. It's the other way around
I once thought you were OK haggis. I now am starting to think you are pathetic.
Haggis sounds like a man or woman panicking about their investment. Someone who clearly doesn't work in the world of construction today and can't see what is actually going on.
I didn't say it would never happen I just said it won't take over for years yet.
And let me just say, from a renewable and sustainability perspective many contractors ARE using HVO as an alternative to diesel. This is to drive net zero in construction. Doesnt mean I support it or believe its anyway cheaper than diesel but you must look beyond cost and towards what is perhaps going to enhance the environmental credentials of project delivery.
From a construction perspective it could be years before this technology really takes off or over from diesel power. Most using diesel generators will switch to HVO or have already done so
I'm not sure it has the world energy solution. The world certainly doesn't see it that way anyway.
My gut feel is the SP will revisit the 20s if not the teens. Didn't think it possible to be back here but the world is in a 5hit place financially. A market cap of 100s millions for a non revenue or profit maker could get a kick in. Don't want to see it but......
Go figure that one out...........
What is the product again ? Would have to remind me where I can see one. Had enough at this point. Manipulation on this 5hit is rife. Any sign of a pulse or they just going to let this drift lower and lower
That's it
