To get down 420m vertically @ 1:7 gradient is around 3,000m length.
The Decline plan is for 2,700m including the spiral and then another 900m of other tunnels .
I think they need more approvals to extract any ore.
They definitely need mining approvals to take the Decline lower and also may need the PFS and the Decision to mine

The web site was changed recently after the juri jv and it's contents reduced. It's a bit of a headache if you are trying to research from scratch.
The only place now on the web site is in the jorc section but you will have to scroll through them all to find Scallywag information or any of the other areas.
Best to save anything of interest.
Items before the Jorc compliant announcements around the summer of 2018 are sketchy, the early RNSs are there but they don't contain many plans or cross sections.

I doubt it would be anywhere near a ton, sampling I've experienced in the past is done with a hollow sample tube with a T handle and pushed into the bulk sample, maybe a dozen of these mixed into a separate bag for each bulk sample.

There latest MRE is just for gold, if there is copper in the gold concentrates it is viewed as a contaminant as high levels of cyanide are needed in the CIL process.
Chatting to Jim on the Ggp board who worked at the Telfer plant was telling me about the copper concentrate:-
"To give you a relevant example, the Telfer I'm used to a few years back used to feed around 2% Cu and 2 gpt Au into their sulphide (flotation) circuit.
The result was a 20-22% Cu concentrate sent away in 2 tonne bags for smelting that also contained about 2 ounces of gold (~62grams) per bag.
Everything is upgraded"

Going back to De Grey note
They have 78m tons of mineralised ore @1.5g/t and estimated 3.8m oz
They are hoping to process 6m tons per annum giving them 450kt pa gold concentrate .

In my calculations that's around 300,000 oz pa

Therefore I'm reading it that Alba has 20.7g/t in a ton of concentrate

It's a big negative for me with no copper .

This is from that Broker note
'De Grey has indicated 10% mass pull for 92% flotation recovery (96% total recovery). Average 10% mass pull suggests a pressure oxidation circuit treating 7-10% of the crushed and milled ore, allowing for a proportion of direct CIL feed. We presume 78Mt at 1.5 g/t (3.8Mozs) as a starting point mine inventory, a 6Mtpa ore treatment operation, and 450ktpa of concentrate destined for pressure oxidation'

so for my way of thinking they're looking for about 300,000 oz pa of au

These tonnages are very similar to Ggp initial MRE

You do need a combination of survey results from geophysics and geochemistry also a coincidence of the mag/gravity and IP surveys to locate optimum drilling positions.

That's mainly about processing procedures.
They're talking about 430ktpa of concentrate and retrieving over 96% of the gold in the concentrate so 1.3g/t in the ore is not 1.3g/t in the concentrate.
Concentrate is the heavy material left behind in the flotation process mainly iron.
They do have 3 or 4 Tier1 targets but it's not got the varied minerals that Havieron has.
They have forecasted one plant to cost $430m to construct.
Does seem a lot for a small company but looks impressive

'Random ' sampling is a statistical analytical method of sampling.
In bulk material testing a chemical analyst would normally collect samples for the client.
Handheld scanners can give a relatively accurate data of what's in the sample but not recovery rates.
Random sampling of an RC drill hole for instance, every 4m depth would have a sample bag taken and scanned with the handheld device which immediately downloads it into the data log software.

Surely the point of that RNS was to show that a random sample of rock or scrapings could produce a concentrate that had a high enough content for their plant to be viable.
20g/t is only arbitrary as it is only a sample but it is an average grade of that sample

I know that but where else could you get an example of what it might contain.

If the bench sample came from the bulk sample then the bulk sample results should compare to the bench sample results.
Standard lab practice as far as I am aware.
If you have 36 x 1 ton bags a random selection from each bag would form the sample

The bench sample was taken from the bulk sample which they have given us the quantity of 36 ton where I took my calculations from.

The way they've written the RNS was a bit confusing but this is my take on it
78.6% recovery rate on 36ton bulk sample= 28.3 tons at 20.7g/t = 585.81gms = 18 ounces
