When you look at those 2 images on Paddy's post consider the drilling is occurring on the West and east of the southern extension.
On the MRE there is a new indicated resource
( on the far right on those images)
Will the drilling go there first before the Main Dome ramp.
The ramp was the intended destination after the Southern Extension was drilled but finding Pinnacles and now this new indicated resource may delay this.
What can be expected from the Main Dome ramp?
It's about 2.5km long with a depth from 0 - 400m ish so average 200m deep around 35m wide would give a 52.5mt.
Newcrest did an MRE for it with an Indicated resource of 55mt at 0.89 in 2014 and little work has been since then.
I'm presuming this 55mt is the ramp and would give 1.5moz indicated resource.
From Portogeo database:-
" By 2000, the oxide resources were largely exhausted after extracting ~185 tonnes of gold, and mainly hypogene sulphide ore was being mined creating recovery and cost problems. As a consequence, operations were suspended pending feasibility studies into mining hypogene ore in the open pits and Telfer Deeps and modification of the flotation circuit of the existing sulphide treatment plant to accommodate the increased underground reserve and higher sulphide and copper content. In the meantime, the decline to the Telfer Deeps was deepened. The feasibility study was completed in 2002 and production recommenced in the open pits in 2004 and underground in 2006, based on reserves and resources of 320 Mt @ 1.4 g/t Au, 0.14% Cu in the open pits. Resources are inclusive of reserves."
From recent photos of the southern end those reefs can still be seen in the intended ramp, will 1.4g/t still be obtainable?
Possible inclusion in next years MRE or the one after to maintain a continual roll up of resource ounces.
