Nothing to do with any airport tender, though I agree if they do pull this off then fair play! Danman say govt deal, we'll see!

bit of a pump/dump over there pacman, It happened after the last article from Danman on 15th Feb. Pumped up 50%+ then dumped back some 40% in a day or two. Then a new article over the last weekend saying they will get a govt Covid contract and same happens this time too.
How likely are MHC going to get a govt Covid contract for PCR tests. I think the govt are well stacked with those already. Not sure if they can offer other tests/services. So I am intrigued!

RetiredB, you do know that as far as I know MHC only offer PCR tests. Students/teachers will be using LFT tests. There won't be £10 profit on a LFT test either!

I am intrigued about the news being a govt Covid contract. The only test I know MHC sell is a PCR test from Ygen. Now, unless they have other tests/services/products to offer then I don't think the govt will need any more PCR tests. Not sure what else MHC have to offer the govt if it's not PCR tests?

millionpenny; Who knows where this could go.It will depend on the strength of any news to come. It already has a £40m mcap, for what exactly? As I said they only sell a few Ygen tests atm. However, if the news is 'blockbuster' then it could go a bit mad.

I would be very careful not to get spiked again! It is what happened after the last Danman report. Nothing but rumours so far don't forget. If there is no rns in a couple of days this will go backwards as fast.

Greggs, don't know exactly, but I don't think it will be 'headline' numbers of hundreds of millions like Surescreen. I just feel if it's not many will be disappointed.
I feel the govt want to be more flexible going forward and won't want to commit to bigger timescales or longish contracts. It would not surprise me to see 6-12 month rolling type contracts or something along those lines. One reason for this is technology is advancing at pace, so they will want to be in a position to switch to the latest tech/test ands not be tied in for multiple years. Just my opinion of course..

just hope people's expectations on contract size isn't too silly! Some of the figures I have seen here is a bit off track imv! Let's try and keep it sensible eh?

I am not sure but I don't think they use Ygen's test. I know Collinson had some problems at Heathrow at one time but don't know if it was resolved or not. I expect the tender was up for renewal. Would be great to be involved with some of it though in one way or another especially Manchester airport as the labs are only 20/30 mins away.

LR did allude to 'other' partners rgds travel hubs etc, so who knows eh?

would be a good one to be some part of, but I doubt YGEN or MHC would be lead in this. More likely someone like Cignpost, Recova or Mediskills maybe. YGEN can only supply the PCR test, but I suppose they could buy the other tests in from Abingdon plus other suppliers.

Those Innova tests are being worked out of the system hopefully ! They will be around for another month or two I expect.
