whoever sold those 250k earlier at 13.52 has missed out on about £1k since this morning alone as selling now at nearly 14p. Don't these people want to make more money? What is wrong with these people, why can't they let it ride the waves a bit and sell above 14/15/16p + .

I agree, many will still go abroad regardless of amber ,red, green whatever. Half of people that have Portugal holidays booked are still going to go.

I am only looking for covid income as a bonus to help get their DNA products to market. Nobody knows how long it will last but I still think it will last long enough to put some serious cash into the business to help with the longer term stuff. I think the new products are winners and we will see them in Boots stores fairly soon.

I think we might get an update rgds sales as and when there is a clearer trend on travel and one or two destinations are put into the green zone. I am hopeful the islands (Canaries. Balearics etc) will come pretty soon.

Atlantic, don't agree, they would have made a rod for their own backs if they had informed current sales numbers. Punters would have expected sales to continue in the same way. With current travel disruption that will be difficult won't it? They have played it safe until they know travel is back up and running to a decent level and likely to stay that way.
I think if Portugal hadn't been put into Amber and one or two added to the green list then they would have told us the numbers because there was more certainty going forward.

Bear, how many tests do you think they are shifting? The Boots site confirms online alone 100+ a day, add in the stores and their own website. As for TW, no comment!!
Nothing goes up in a straight line and the sellers are just rainbow chasers who stay nowhere for long. This will do well in the next six months as the ceo says, substantial, material whatever it will be transformational . Then of course there are their own products to launch. I would very much doubt they are running out of cash either at this point, they have never had so much coming in on a hourly basis.
Don't worry about the travel, it will come back pretty soon, and people who have booked to Portugal have said they will still go anyway.
I am looking past the covid stuff to when they can put their own products out there.

I just have a good feeling that the pandemic may well be the making of Ygen. We certainly have got something the govt want on each lot, and I can't believe Ygen won't get a share of the spoils, especially on lot 3, as they must have a great chance with that one with only 9 suppliers. I am sure LR wants/hopes to be well ensconced with the govt on the back of these tenders going forwards.

we know previously they charged around £50 a test inc lab work. With Boots it obviously is a lot less but other customers will be a bit higher margin. Even if you averaged it at £25 a test/lab then it soon adds up, especially if they get anywhere near that 10k a day figure. That will be awesome!!

Steve, he said they had the capacity to make 500k, he didn't say they had, unless I missed that bit. I don't know why stores should be running out, unless they didn't order enough.Even so it still sounds like a long time before they receive more product. I had a quick scan around the country with Boots stores yesterday and the vast majority had stock, which is a big improvement over the last few weeks .Maybe Ygen are struggling to keep up as they have some other decent sized customers. Who knows they might already be pushing that 10k a day capacity. Nah! can't be can it?

If the govt hadn't put Portugal into amber we would have known the Boots income today. They would have been fairly confident of keeping the exceptional figures going longer term, especially if one or two other destinations were added into the green zone.

if they had told us the figures upto now for the Boots income I think we would be pretty amazed at how much it is. With the uncertainty around travel it might have been difficult to keep that level going short term . It will open again sometime soon but I can see why they haven't said right now. Peoples expectations would have been sky high,.. pardon the pun!

Atlantic, hopefully the rainbow/day traders have moved on and we get shares into stickier hands with proper investors onboard. That will curb the daft posts with silly numbers .
