the last I heard I think it was around £29M rev for this year. Get it sold on those multiples we hear are achievable. I think they are pinning hopes on the Ranger tech in the next 12/18 months with words like 'revolution ' and 'disruptive' etc. From the evidence so far it sounds very promising and gets stronger with each new customer signing. They have got to deliver something very decent now they have bigged it up so much. At least LR has finally put his money in so to speak.
at 8/10x revenue, yeah, get it done!!
cheers GLT. I am not taking any notice of the newbies arriving here as they obviously have an axe to grind and likely been given the shove by LR. As you say the signing up of BIG clients is all the proof we need!
GLT, you went to the CMD. What was the feel about the place and in the networking afterwards?
insideher, anyone of the senior management in particular or all of them?
hey insideher, we had your mate freddie on here the other day. You two got anything in common? lol
so, only a change in senior management will turn this around...Not bitter then eh? lol What job did you do there ? I expect we will see more ex bods showing up here to vent their spleen on being booted out.
I suppose that study at Laval uni is also a pack of lies is it? Oxford Nano, now there is a stock overvalued or what..pmsl. They know how to make milions in losses too.
ooh look, another EX employee!! So the megalabs are a myth as are Ambry and the other lab they have totally converted to date.. I expect £5M of savings and if a few deadwood brains need moving on then great!
apad, as far as I can see, Ranger is in three parts protected and was first filed in June 2014, then Jan/Feb 2015 for other parts. Patents granted in 2019/2020..
The issue I can see is that Ranger is disruptive to Illumina..So maybe a clash there?
apad. not sure what you mean about an issue with Nipt and Illumina ? The Ranger IP is fully protected I believe!
Not sure about anyone else, but I am confident in Scott and what he can achieve in the next 6/12 months. He comes across very well and obviously knows the market and all the competitors having worked for most of them. He seems to have been given pretty much full control over there, so looking forward to what he can do.
rather odd that last 725k trade showing as an 'unknown' trade...surely a sell at that figure. Unless mates rates are collecting around the 7p figure and orders being filled.
these big labs are doing 100's of thousands and more. Potentially $18 saving per single blood test alone, not inc any other benefits like accuracy. So $18 x say 250k tests is $4.5M saving in tubes alone. Sounds disruptive to me and could even be a revolution coming!! lol
It might be a while yet as didn't SS mention the summer, or was that for something else? I am sure there will be a good conclusion unless there are backhanders going around the megalab and they won't change whatever the benefit to them. However, I don't think they would have got this far if that was the case. They won't want to be left behind now one megalab has taken it onboard.
I reckon a lot of their future business will come from the 'regional' smaller labs where they will maybe put the whole workflow in. That will be their aim I expect.
They will also do well with labs that want to get into the space and start ups that they can put the whole Ranger workflow in at the start.
I would have thought it was near impossible to get existing labs to completely change over to a new system like Ranger, but they already have done, so more will follow, no doubt about it.
I though the cost savings would be the big kicker to change, but no, it isn't as one lab changed just because of the better quality and accuracy. Cost savings are a bloody big bonus they didn't even factor in at the time, win , win!
I see Ygen have been shortlisted for a couple of awards. One being 'innovation' award and the other is 'outstanding achievement' award.
it's Hamilton robotics who have worked with Coastal Genomics in the past. Can't see a big problem if they did feck orf. Plenty similar companies out there!
looks like freddie has been brought in to spread the carp a bit. Just out of the blue like that. Must be part of the £5m savings LR talked about, and he's one of the first to get the push! Sour grapes spring to mind with all this Hamilton talk.
it's hard to tell unless the person owns up!
