Does anyone know when the announcement is due and what it may do the SP if First Group is successful?.

Anyone know the reason....a normal day might be 3 million. something must be up.

Well, I am not barred but there just never seems to be any news about this company worth commenting upon, either good, bad or indifferent. Waht has happened to the £600 million raised in the Rights Issue and where are the new contracts?.

I like your optimism.....I can't remember the last time we had some good news about First Group. Apart from the Commonwealth Games what makes you so bullish about this share?. Since I bought in a couple of years back all that has happened is a halving of the SP, a discounted Rights Issue and a cessation of dividends, even though they said we would get one this year. I have very little faith in this company.

You say ........."they may declare a final dividend"................there was no final divvy for last year, no interim or final for this year. Are you talking about a final for 2015?....ie nearly a year away.

Reading that link it makes me wonder why no dividend was paid in respect of FY 2014. Looking at the Rights Issue tome at page 13 it says ..........."Dividend payments recommence with a final dividend in FY 2014, subject to performance in line with business expectations,....". The link says that trading has been "in line" with its expectations...does anyone else feel cheated out of their dividend?.

I agree with you. What really hacks me off is that we were enticed into buying into the Rights Issue on the promise of a dividend which never materialised. There is never any good news about contracts being renewed or new ones awarded. Makes one wonder what the Board have done with that near £600 million raised in the RI.

I thought my comment might stir you up!!....and I liked your reference to the company being ...."on the right track"...dunno if that pun was intentional or not. Anyway to show willing I think the company should have declared a small dividend at least since a profit was made, albeit not very large on a turnover of more than 6 Billion. Many people have been let down and one wonders when a dividend will actually be paid. At least the SP has not plummeted on the news which is somewhat surprising. I am also in Barclays which did not stop paying dividends after its Right Issue so I don't follow your logic there.

Thanks for that link, I was going to reiterate the Dividend Policy as set out in the Rights Issue document. It makes you wonder if this pledge regarding divident payments was just a ruse to entice people into taking up their Rights. What is going wrong with this company?....judging by the price of train tickets you would think that huge profits would be generated. Rusty.....look at page 13 of the Rights Issue document.....for the life of me I cannot understand why you think the resumption of dividend payments would be " inappropriate"......I guess you no longer hold these shares?

NO DIVIDEND.....extremely disappointing....OK net debt is down but surely that would be because of the Rights Issue which raised more than £600 million. .....more "jam tomorrow"....what do you guys think?
