Odd what you are advocating would cause many more civilian deaths. If NATO goes to war with Russia how does it end? You want our troops to go in to Russia like Iraq and remove Putin? Dream on, Biden let the car out of the bag, Putin has to go however we can wait him out, the sanctions will cripple Russia and eventually they will revolt. It’s not nice for Ukraine in the mean time but it’s the least bad option. All imo.

Ods Russia cannot even take Ukraine, even if they wanted to they couldn’t widen the scope of the war. Russia has shown how weak it is rather than how strong. Putin will take the East of Ukraine call it a victory. He’s overplayed his hand and is finished.

I believe cc is right, to pay dividends you need profits to make profits they need to be making revenue, to make revenue they need to be selling oil, now we are debt free and the world is coming out of covid im expecting they restart the extensive drill program they had planned for Mjf. There’s your profit/ dividends and sp appreciation.

What is the main difference Between an internet start up bank and Lloyd’s? Branches, they are the loss leader, brand builder they are the physical representation of Lloyd’s.
People going’s into branches should be welcomed.

In the same way petrol stations haven’t adopted pay at the pump because they want the customers to go in and buy the overpriced food etc. Lloyd’s should do the same.

Armani if we get to 50p I won’t sell so how do I benefit? I intend to old for the long term so getting as many shares cheap for the buy back will make Lloyd’s a better long term investment. I’m looking at what’s best for Lloyd’s eps, in about 10 years time. Hopefully we’ll all be laughing about the time Lloyd’s did a buy back and bought back of shares in the 40’s and that will never happen again.

IMO it’s because they simply don’t care about the sp or keeping us pi’s informed. I’m hoping now they have got all the shares they want they will make Caspian as profitable as posssible, im not concerned how the distribute that profit, sp appreciation it dividends.

I’ve taken this opportunity to to top up, no surprises, little impact from Ukraine. No justification for the sp slide.
