Eurobio Scientific integrates coronavirus tests into its range

Eurobio Scientific, a leading French group in specialty in vitro medical diagnostics, has announced the launch of its new ALLPLEX CORONAVIRUS panel, the first real-time multiplex PCR test for the detection of coronaviruses (sarbecoviruses). ALLPLEX CORONAVIRUS is a kit developed and manufactured by the partner Seegene (Seoul, South Korea), allowing simultaneous detection and differentiation in a single well of PCR, sarbecoviruses as well as 2 genes for the identification of the Chinese coronavirus 2019 nCov. This test is integrated with the other Seegene ranges on robotic equipment, present in the large technical platforms of hospital laboratories duly authorized to carry out this analysis. Pending CE marking, ALLPLEX CORONAVIRUS is currently a RUO test (Research Use Only), just like all the tests currently offered by other manufacturers.

In parallel, Eurobio Scientific is developing its own 2019 nCoV coronavirus diagnostic kit by real-time PCR. This will be available in a few weeks and will enrich the existing EurobioPlex range. This test, complementary to that of Seegene, could indeed be distributed to laboratories worldwide. It will be functional on several instruments, in particular T-COR 8 designed for emergency applications, in unit test performed patient by patient, or decentralized near patients (POC) in authorized laboratories.

The Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) is a method based on the selective multiplication of target DNA sequences, which makes it possible to detect specific DNA sequences present in a sample.

So it seems that there is an amount of development outstanding with the above instruments,
and not a lot of time to catch up.

1 The reply to Mookster's communication from the CEO doesn't give any indication as to how much patience is required, ie hours or days. Probably not weeks.

2 Graham probably has no more time to give to share holders than a one word response. He probably told a clerk to respond thus.

3 We know from his response that he is aware he should be reporting via RNS updates, else he would have indicated to expect no RNS.

4 If the above is correct, then we should expect a JV / buyout / merger.

5 NCYT publish assay tests regularly to show that the test kit can detect all strains of CV.
No other company does this, and in publishing in this way it becomes an ongoing sales campaign, both for the products and the company.
Nobody has challenged the assay results the company publishes. So I believe we should expect 4.

I think Mookster is correct, a JV or buyout is likely, but I have no clue as to when it will be announced. I wouldn't be prepared to bet it is this week.
But because all investors know that a buyout is a possibility, the sp will not dractically sag from its present level.

So everything is dependent on the contents of the next RNS.

I read that the NCYT test can be used on Asymptomatic patients as well as the Symptomatic with accurate results.
Can anyone advise where this claim is made please.

BioMaxima also plans to launch its own genetic test to confirm if people have been infected with the virus using real-time PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction).

According to the company, the test will use the most ‘effective and reliable method’ for identifying the genetic material of the virus, with the result expected in under two hours.

Checks correctly the Symptomatic as well as the Asymptomatic.

Dear Sir / Madam,

I am a shareholder, and my investment is subject to unnecessary share price peaks and troughs,
because there is insufficient information about recent sales.

I write to ask why this might be please.

If more sales information were available, the market would have at least some idea about how to calculate a market capitalisation, and a floor for the share price would be calculable.

To hear via Twitter and LinkedIn that the company is busy is fine, but useless to those wanting to know sales values.

If you are clear why you cannot give out certain information, shareholders will at least be so advised.

To leave investors in the dark is not good PR, but I don't need to tell you that.

If investors remain invested waiting for news we risk losing much of our investment.

If investors sell we cannot benefit from good news, but it is the great news we are really interested in though.

An RNS soon would be appreciated before many investors start to loose their shirts, and we can't have that when it isn't necessary (even worse PR).

Awaiting your early response as to why we are STILL waiting for an RNS please.

They may be short of test kits now, but America will be full of kits in the coming weeks that don't have the same credentials as the Primerdesign kit.
So there will be false positives and false negatives.
The yanks won't care too much about that, it's not a good enough reason to let foreign kits get a hold on the US market.
So we should concentrate elsewhere.

My understanding is there is a one month shelf life on the test kit packaging.

We should be using LinkedIn or Twitter to ask the company why, when the staff are informing they are busy filling orders, that share holders have to endure the vast swings in sp because the company will not (not cannot) provide a sales update with details of sales value.
Something that will put a floor under the sp.

We need a test result printout with Donald Trumps name on the top, and Primerdesigns name on the bottom!

Saw a photograph once of a test kit with all label details shown clearly.
I THOUGHT I saw a shelf life for the test kit of 1 month.

This is the ultimate sales tool.
No other manufacturer of test kits and testing equipment provides feedback to customers in this way.
100% homology means there is no sequence on either database that the Primerdesign test kit did not recognise as being COVID=19 virus.

In any talk about takeover, this would be the biggest reason that any company would want Novacyt.
The second would be the comprehensive global reach of the Novacyt distributor network.
The third might be that Novacyt has no debt, and warrants are sorted.

What's most entertaining is that 'anyone with any sense' would not have piled in this morning.
They would still be waiting for the market to bottom, - and we are a long way off that.

Often when a company addresses issues affecting the sp, an RNS is released.

Typically it states the company is aware of rumours and confirms/denies/addresses the rumour, or updates shareholders.

In our case we have China FDA EUA approval for NCYT listed on FIND, then removed in the space of 12 hours.

This is something NCYT must address, and surprised we have had no 07:00 RNS.

If NCYT have no knowledge of China FDA EUA approval they must state this.

I hope the NOMAD is pressurising the company to make a statement.
