"As previously announced, the Board is endeavouring to secure necessary funding for the Company. The Board is encouraged by a number of ongoing discussions with potential investors which the Board is working to conclude in the near future. However, there is no guarantee that any such discussions will result in near-term funding being made available to the Company."

So no mention of the fact that we have a loan arranged with MidCap, and all we need do is draw-down the next tranche
to do what the original loan was intended for, - fitting out the adjacent processing plant to continue building the business.

Does the board think we can we no longer afford the loan terms?

Only Non Exec Director Shervanthi Homer-Vanniasinkam does not have in depth financial experience, and Gareth is performing the CFO role.
In normal circumstances there shouldn't be a problem fixing another loan, - but maybe present market conditions are adversely affecting negotiations.
I'm confident of success eventually, but not so confident if a complete lockdown in Texas stops work.

I posted that today's Daily Mail contains an article stating Germany is testing 70,000 persons per day, - 490,000 / week.
I don't have a link, - searched but didn't find one. - I read the story in todays paper.

NHS Staff to get home testing kits

...Figures yesterday showed samples were taken from just 8,911 individuals in the previous 24 hrs
- two weeks after ministers promised to carry out 10,000 tests per day.
Germany is carrying out 70,000 a day while the US has been undertaking 27,000 daily.
Concerns have also been raised that a much hyped antibody test -
capable of detecting who has already had the virus and is now immune -
will not be available for several weeks.
Public Health England had suggested that millions of these home testing kits would be ready to buy
within days but officials have since admitted they don't even know if they work.
The tests for NHS staff are completely different and check whether individuals have the virus now
and therefore need to self isolate.
Equipment will be collated at three UK hubs.
Hospitals, Ambulance services or other NHS trusts will then be able to request tests for workers currently off sick....

...Cabinet Office Minister Michael Gove said yesterday "These tests will be trialled for people
on the front line starting immediately, with hundreds to take place by the end of the weekend
- dramatically scaling up next week.

All Bioeasy products have been awarded the CE-IVD label.

The kit worked when tested to acquire the CE label, - so I suspect a quality control issue has caused the problem.

Spain has duff Chinese testing kits. Was Jack Ma the source?
The Ambulance Chasers will be busy in USA if this is true.
I hope for China's sake, Jack Ma is not distributing faulty kits, there will be a reckoning with China after this.

In the regularly updated assay document that has Primerdesign at No 1 position, it is clear that the Chinese tests are poor.
Lets hope the news of the bad experience the Czech republic and Spain have had is not repeated else where.

"During the past two weeks, Primerdesign has scaled up its manufacturing capacity for the COVID-19 test and is currently meeting demand. The Company has purchased enough raw materials to manufacture 3.5 million COVID-19 tests. In addition, the Company has significantly increased its manufacturing capacity by appointing a third-party manufacturer, which specialises in high quality, GMP pharma and molecular diagnostic outsourcing and is based in mainland Europe. It is expected that the combination of the two manufacturing operations will support production of up to 2 million COVID-19 tests per month, which increases capacity by a factor of 10. This increase in output will be available within the next two weeks. The purchase of further raw materials and a further scale up of manufacturing capacity is possible under this outsourcing agreement."

12 March +14 days = 26 March.

So if we are on track, the company is TODAY manufacturing test kits at the rate of 2 million COVID-19 tests per month !!!

I keep telling myself that wayne, but am still mildly disappointed with sp after announcements.

Quite a few of the RNS's released in Feb and March have left investers slightly disappointed that the sp had not subsequently increased more than it did.
There's only 68 Million shares in issue right, - so we should expect fireworks when a great RNS is delivered no?

I observed the effects of what I thought were investors taking 10% on Fridays 15:00 RNS.
Normally I would have expected the sp to have climbed further on such good news, and investors to have stayed in
over the weekend, but the sp did not take off to the extent I felt the RNS warranted.

Unless others have a different point of view as to the reason for the above observation?

The FDA EUA is great news, and I'm wondering how many of the nations we are creating quotations for - but have not sold to yet, have been waiting for EUA issue before converting quotations to orders.

Frankly I am surprised any country has been willing to wait this long before ordering when this virus spreads so quickly.
If that is the case though, the next RNS containing sales figures will be a cracker,
because they will be ordering tomorrow if not today.

Novacyt hasn't anything else to prove concerning qPCR, except perhaps to get the time to process results down further.

If they can come up with further products SOON, and not miss the bus, then that will elevate expectations of a buyout.
