If equivalence was the issue, you would have thought barclays to drop sharper than Lloyd's, but it hasn't. If covid was the problem, travel stocks would be down today. They aren't. Who knows what is causing the drop here.

We already have a 95% effective vaccine from BioNtech that has been given to 1 million plus in the UK. The azn shot is only 50 to 60% effective for all we know so I doubt it will be a game changer.

Not sure why the azn vaccine should make much of a difference. We are already very busy giving BioNtech shots so vaccine news is priced in imo

Depends how the issues are weighted. Could be that the majority of the UK wins are minor items, but at least it will look like the UK got a good deal even when it's not.

Yes but this was also pre covid. Covid would have taken 30p off the sp, so where we are now is probably around right with the deal.

Yep, with the deal a certainty I think we pretty much are where we are. Not much reason to rocket anymore. Suspect good covid news will help it go further.

Covid is a sideshow. Brexit is here to stay. The vaccine has boosted the sp, but watch what happens with a deal. Conversely a no deal. No deal would decimate the British economy. But that's the past now, it won't happen as we needed a deal and are agreeing to one. And that is despite the fact that alledgedly we would have prospered mightily on wto terms lol what a joke. If that were the case and bojo believed it, why bother.

European media seems to say that the UK side is downplaying any breakthrough and that they will negotiate till the last second on the 31st.

Well, nice rise but the cat is out of the bag now. Why would it go much higher tomorrow if there is a deal announced tonight? If we know, everybody knows.
