Haven't researched Director's holdings, but evidence seems clear anyway. Of 24% ish free float, (less due to director's holdings not counted) parent Co is owned circa 83% by institutions. Think that is why Hinkias you're seeing the share behave as if there is only 20 million free float. Actually think the real free float is 2 million because long term holders are not trading. There's very little out there to buy....hence spread

My last. Promise. On basis of 35 million free float, only circa 1% of Co traded today. With large movement in SP that is quote surprising....no profit taking, etc........viz, the other 99% shareholding aren't trading. Why?

Mission impossible. What appears is that Intrexon itself (XON), the parent, is 83% owned by the "who's who's" of institutional investors with a MCap of 3.2 billion US. Trading at circa $27 per share presently.. Rub being, whatever majority share Intrexon has in ABTU, the parent itself is 83% owned by institutions. Still looking for more detail on the extent of XON ownership. . Please DYOR and do not rely upon what I have written here.

Pushing it a bit for a Friday night Hinkais but seems little info available. Intrexon Corp USA appear as the parent co, and also appear as a major power player in tech and genetics in USA. But no info as to what extent they own. I'm not expecting you to answer the question, I'll dig further and see what turns up. Anything off the top of your head?
