Low margin flights, this is the right call. Concentrate on Long haul, give it another couple of years and BA will exit the short haul market (under the BA name they will spin off the company) Pandemic lows were 97? looks like we will hit that, brought these at the wrong time but hey in it to win it.
This is why I brought at 85 I thought the market was looking up for ITV
Ugh I am soooo tempted to top up here, brought at 85p on the way back up previously as I thought we were on the march back to the 120s......ohhh should I???
Takeout prices usually come in around 40% higher than the current price. If a bid were to come it would have to be quick as I see this returning to previous levels soon.
Well, congratulations to all those who held on. Great to see 418 again today. Unfortunately, I bailed at 370, into RR ITV and IAG and instead of being eight grand up here as I was last time we hit this level, I am now down 2K on the above investments. Gutted, yes. I still believe in all the above shares, just picked the wrong entries for RR and ITV. They will be back. If this falls back to 400, I'll probably add a few. We had issues sustaining these levels before, so I hope we can push up now. Good luck all and well done to those who kept the faith!!
ITV has to make content! they have four channels to feed. All the ITVX content will end up on the main ITV channels. The way they presented this was poor. Ultimately, they are simply boosting content production and content hours. Some of this will come to ITVX first. My real concern is the cost of the platform 100 million? this isn't rocket science anymore. I'm hoping they spend the bulk of that 100 million on advertising and promoting the service, not on the cost of setting it up.
17 pence was the lowest just after the financial crash if I remember. If we reach 50 pence here, I'm gonna YOLO everything I have at it!!
Netflix subscriptions being cancelled. Eyes back to ITV. conversely an ITVX launch into a recession not the greatest idea. The main issue with ITVX is the cost, keep that under control and ITVX should be fine. If this drops to less than 69 I'll add another 10K. We all know it's going to bounce back. Cash generative + dividend. Happy days.
Viewers are going to flock back to ITV. SKY is an expensive luxury. I would not want to hold their shares this year. Their churn is going to be sky high! With bills as they, how many people are going to want to continue to pay millionaire footballers wages? This is going to be a bumper year for ITV viewership and revenues. Yes, we DO need a new CEO, Launching ITVX into a recession is not smart. They should have concentrated on licensing deals for the next couple of years. The Government is going to offer enormous concessions on the OFCOM license to make sure ITV bid for Chan4, huge synergies to be had so they could run Chan4 very cheap by ITV who have gone through many years of cost cutting (used to work there)
Agree with this take more or less, 2 quid days are over, 100 to 120 is fair value. Doubt we will ever see a bid for this, again if that happened 120 to 130 is all we'd get.
Well I return, tail between legs, I sold out at 354 in a fit of pique and brought ITV RR and IAG, now BACK in here at 360 but 1/3 of the volume which is probably safer than previously each penny was a 100 quid up or DOWN which wasn't great for the heart. Nice to see a climb today, not going to mourn my rubbish timings or divesting. Having too much tied up in one stock isn't clever. Lovely to see a climb, sincerely hope it can sustain, and further I hope my other three darlings will eventually fly OR at the very least get back the 8K I lost not selling BP previously at 418!!!!
