🚨 🚨 The much-anticipated price of Ryoncil (first MSC treatment approved in the US after 20+ years!) is out. $1.55M per patient if all infusions are completed. Priced at $194,000 per infusion. Allogeneic therapies were supposed to bring down the cost of drugs, but that does not appear to be the case. For a drug that is used as a treatment for the side effects (GvHD) of the major treatment modality (bone marrow transplant) is this the right price?

How about the pricing of ruxolitinib which address the same complications with different age group? I know that the pivotal orr of ryoncil is higher than ruxolitinb and longer survival benefit of ryoncil. Nevertheless, this high pricing out of economic benefit seems unbalanced with small molecule drugs with the same complications but with different age group. Even for premium for pediatrics drug pricing, it sounds not balanced to me.
Or is it Meso’s strategy to provide heavy coupon promotion to patients to increase patient access?"
