As far as i am aware you pay 30% tax on Usa dividends but it comes down to 15% with the W8ben form.You also pay 8% Uk tax but if you are a higher tax payer it goes up tp 33%,this is your trading account only

You can claim the Uk tax back,called foreign tax relief via your self assessment form but it looks complicated hence you might need professional assistance

I am no accountant but i read it as you have put it.Dont forget you have a Cgt allowance of £3000 to deduct which helps a little

Although the dividend is good and expected to be better over the coming years those shares held in a trading account are going to be taxed twice.It looks complicated to complete the self assessment form regarding claiming back the Uk tax,so some might find it easier to get someone like Tax Scouts to do it for you at a reasonable price

I like you also own Fres so this is another one where we are taxed twice

It amazes me how a ftse 100 company can move so much day to day,yesterday it was under £14 and today it wasnt far off £16,yet its dropping like a stone now so it wouldnt surprise me to see it finish in the red

The moves in the share price is to much for me down over 5% on a 60 dollar decrease in gold price.,and down about 15% on a gold decline of 200 dollars..I will be selling when it recovers a little.Also dont like the idea of big final dividend,they surely can tell after half year whether its good or bad,and then give a good interim dividend And finally dont wont to be bothered trying to claim back my foreign tax credit from Hmrc via self assessment form

S and P at a high and gold falling for the second week as tariff news with China and unrest in the middle east has eased so not looking good for gold,which might fall to 3130

Shares were consolidated 20 to 1 so if you had 100 you now only have 5 shares price shot up a little but has come back down

I think Centamin would have been 2.50 by now anyway as Fres has also doubled in the same time period.The only problem for me with Anglo is trying to claim back the foreign dividend tax from HMRC as the process dont look easy,especially as we could see a dividend of around $2 for the year so we lose 30 cents on every share if we dont claim it back

Once again this disappoints the share price didnt move yesterday when gold rallied and now its gone back down again so has the share price,its currently only moving one way and it isnt up

I hold Fres shares in the last 3 months they have risen 50% compared to Anglo at 44%

In the last year Fres is up 69% and Anglo 70% so its not doing to bad plus we got a special dividend which in comparison to its price was much better than Anglo,and the liked of Newmont and Agnico pay very little dividend Agnico only paid 40c quarterly dividend on a stock worth $120 is pretty crap
