Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
at last, the figures are better than expected.
Having sold a few i cant help feeling further frustrated and angered by the board, why if the Noel Fahler field was tested in December 2020 and figures known, has news not been released until now - this sort of thing has a material affect on the value of the company.
Fingers crossed this can now get to where it should be.
I suspect its PI's losing confidence, quite frankly, quite rightfully at this stage.
The board have been dreadful at keeping "everyone" in the picture in the past and the chance they had to restore their reputations is a evaporating at a rate of knots. The frustrating thing it that POO is absolutely steering people to think they have pulled off a masterstroke, yet we dont know if they have.
It could all be so easily rectified too.
Pio - thats not unreasonable - if (currently a big if because the management aren't playing ball) the financials are to be believed and if the FO is a positive one.
GGG has it absolutely spot on, the board promised a very busy end to 2020 and details of a dividend in Jan, we've had neither, which given their past failings in unforgivable. They are supposedly trying to win back investor belief and confidence - well to do that they need to inform people of what is going on
The smart alec answers are a bit harsh.
I have every sympathy with Kane on this, having written to Graham twice in the last 18 months without reply, I certainly shall not bother a third time. More importantly the company has an investor relations advisor, it is their duty to keep investors informed - if people are constantly feeling the need to contact the company then something is failing.
The price of our commodity has soared in recent months, surely an update on the affect to the bottom line, isnt to much to ask. I've seen 100s of guesses and estimates, but 5he truth is not one investor knows what the company are producing and the profit or not of that product, for that alone the company must take full responsibility for its lack of clarity.
Duster there hasn't been news since listing on the 25th November.
Every gap you've pointed out £1.05, £1.10, £1.15, £1.20 the share price hasn't gone near them, so why are you now pointing out £1.35?
Sometimes as a trader its possible you miss your price, that i think we all understand, but pointing as imaginary holes is not helping anyone.
Personally the clock is ticking right now.
Graham and Majid have promised and not delivered way too much in the last 12-18 months, In September 2020 we were told to expect news on several fronts, fo, further purchases, dividend - i've certainly not seen enough evidence that the new I3E is any more investor friendly than before, i have set my personal deadline for news, i suspect a few others will have done the same. The board needs to deliver and soon, before good will is completely shot.
Maybe J - i consider myself glass half full, having ended 2020 with the tone that the management realise they have let investors down and are keen to see them rewarded with a better share price and possible dividend, it does seem an own goal to make this decision so early into 2021.
It doesn't change too much at all, but continues to give detractors continued ammunition to show this as yet another AIM cash cow.
I think alot of those moaning are traders. Those that are investors are happy. That is the bottom line.
The placing doesn't give the immediate spike the traders so desired. But the news is there to grow the company for years and years to come, that however its done is not a bad thing and is Art's ultimate goal.
Yes you've been in for a while, you even claimed to be the largest PI shareholder by far I seem to recall.
I smell something from months of cramps posts to sniping at every opportunity.
Think most will draw their own conclusions
Sorry to pick on you Billzo but alot of posters like you today. Slamming the company for taking one step back in an attempt to move many forward.
The money needed to be raised somehow and in the current global climate it could have been a hell of a lot worse.
Sparks, my one true worry about Nigeria is that they were/are kicking the can down the road to frustrate/dilute or rid COPL from the whole process. With Atomic and the possible financing power that provides no one in Nigeria could view COPL as small fry any more, delays would be fruitless.
I'm convinced Art believes it's close, why choose the 31st Jan as a transition date?
