If you're going to table a bid above the current shareprice you damn well want to amass as many as you can at the current shareprice. Plus extra voting rights you have just bought. The longer you wait the lower the DMA. The only hurry is to bid before new CEO or any divestments.

On the holdings RNS there is no mention of securities lending. So officially none of those shares are being lent out.

Thats not quite what you said previously, you are now implying that the Instis holdings have not yet crossed any thresholds as the spooky market makers have not yet been able to take or complete the sell orders.( BS in my view ) Also the MMs do not notify the market of Mr D's or any institutions holdings that is the holders responsibility.
