Do those companies where Millenium lost on their shorts have debt ? They could have been buying the bonds and shorting the equity to hedge. They could be doing this with their FRES short, possibly long Gold and Silver contracts ? The timing would be right with Gold putting in that double bottom and looking like the retrace is done and we could be on for the next wave of the PM rally Gold above $2070 and Silver over $30

Millenium will have likely bought the order flow from the market maker (s) so they would have known what MSCI selling was about to happen. No doubt they have also been running as selling algo to keep the price down and supress any rallies as they happen.

Looking at the bitcoin chart $10,000 looks like a very likely future stopping point BWTFDIK
These 'currencies' need far more price stability to be taken seriously as a medium for exchange, perhaps the value could be pegged to something more stable like Gold ?

I think we are going to see POG break $1900 today, could see us close at 120+

When Silver is between $30 and $35 no one will care about an index.

The electric car theory seems to work for all parties concerned, they need to create more demand for new cars. Built in obsolesence, Personal Contract Hire, ever stricter MOT rules, Expensive repair software, non servicable parts weren't quite working so lets ban all but the greenest vehicles from city centres or charge them to enter.

Wouldn't it make more sense for HE to take Rockhopper out now ? They could use Navitas's money for the FIG tax bill. Its going to cost them a lot more to buyout Rockhopper after any award even if small.

I think its quite likely that the institutional and smart money will leave Bitcoin for Gold. The inflationary hedge bitcoin story was never really a go-er for thease bankers. They have been there done it got the T shirt, they know the game as there is nothing new under the sun. When this happens we are going to see a lot of upward pressure on the Gold price.

Due to inflation it could well go anywhere ! Just a thought but does the speculation fueled rapid inflationary increase in Brent price effectively make Sealion appear to have better economics as inflation feeding through to the cost per barrel will be much slower and smaller ?

If you look at the trade data, its been lots of small sells punctuated by quite a few large buys.
An algo could have taken advantage of traders selling the rise this morning.

Algo orchastrated drop for accumulation purposes in my humble opinion.
Gold and Silver are on the up so no one shoud be dumping this.

Too true, I have been in the gym with Kier and he reminded me of a kid being made to do P.E. on cold winters day.

He's on the payroll, the guys alluded to as such mentioning that he works for an investment bank. That large shareholding might actually be genuine but it belongs to the investment bank.
While we are on the subject I think that orrible Nigel chaps holding might be real as well, but hes not a multi millionaire just a syndicate of investors possibly ex-Paras. Its not too far fetched I even know of some prison guards ( again ex Paras ) who were investing in Rockhopper. Perhaps Sam will be able to tell them all about it at length sometime ( for a few years hopefully )

Its hard to be bullish on TUI, all those idle planes must be costing a fortune.
There was a massive number of shorts on TUI over last summer so perhaps the SP rise is due to them taking profits ?

I have to say I think crypto is a bit of a side show, although as the hedgies and Institutional Investors have jumped on board it probably is taking some of the 'shine' off Gold and Silver.
I would also add while a number of central banks are adding Gold it would makes sense for them to use paper contracts to short it down. Just waiting for them to let the brakes off before the new reserve banking rules come into being .
