I really do not understand the notion of current vaccines replacing Covid diagnostics. It's just silly to think in this way and no reputable govt will go all in on such a ridiculous strategy. We are already hearing that the efficacy of the Pfizer vaccine (at least) is less so against the Indian mutation and one of the key takeaways about the virus today is that it continuously mutates . Most, if not all of the pharma's are already working on optimizations and this will be a YoY exercise, ensuring a lovely revenue stream for the pharma's involved. Testing will exist for years to come and Avacta are truly in a position to compete with PCR and which has huge drawbacks and that's thanks to the competence and foresight of Sir Al and his team. Today is yet another milestone accomplished and from the trading action it would appear to be an accumulation day which bodes well for what IMO will be a lively few weeks leading up to the presentation. GLA pleasure to be a holder.
Great opening sentence but you let let yourself down so much. Don't be that guy. Why look the world in its face and say I'm not invested in a company who changed how science thinks about things and instead be the guy who does? It's a self help exercise, rather than look at all the negatives, focus on positives; diagnostics = proven. Thereaputics =
danlowence = Backpfeifengesicht
I didn't tell the whole truth Dan and feel guilty. Check out what's going on in therapeutics, trials, partnerships, etc. Already in place and progressing. This isn't a hail Mary, this is a breakthrough within the biotech industry and Sir AS captains the ship, only an idiot would chose not to come aboard. Plenty of them. You can lead a horse to the water but you can't make it drink.
Let the bears continue. What you Dan fail to realise/comprehend is the satisfaction of LTH's in Avacta. The reality through factual business updates is that we are online and at the forefront of diagnostics with IP competitors could only dream of. Good luck with your other plays.
As there is with LFT's and soon to be the new gold standard. Check out the new variant in France, not currently detectable by PCR.
interesting that she's based in Cambridge and her and her father presumably work for this company, however, the only other association is kumani whom she follows lol clutching at straws but still more interesting than the email bull.
Don't think it was edited purely to remove the reference to Cytiva. Previously, there were references to Adeptrix, etc. in the wording and now there is not. Cytiva, Adeptrix, etc. also all appear in the hyperlinks below the main text. It was edited to summarise their Covid work more concisely IMO.
Wolves, trying to work out from your nonsense what you think fair value actually is without the test? i.e. AS announces tomorrow: yep guys, we've shelved the LFT, UK govt too slow and not commercially viable however I'm pleased to announce that following our collaboration with Glasgow University earlier last year we have made significant progress with the development of our neutralising therapy for COVID-19 with (enter big pharma here). Or it could be an RNS in 6 months time, I'm pleased to announce that the P1 trial results for AVA6000 are extremely encouraging.........or could it be more developments on all the other collaborations they have with the main players in the industry. What the RNS will not say is AVCT are closing, we have became the biggest pump and dump artists in history and have no faith in our IP, we have decided to leave the ground-breaking innovations to Wolves2211 who is better positioned to meet the expectations of our shareholders.
There are two types of holder here:
1: Believe in the fundamentals, the bigger picture, the future.
2/Wolves2211: Blinkered, impatient, cries like a baby when it looses a couple of percent on the SP.
$1.81 and rising on my screen.
On what platforms is this stock available? Could only get on leverage through IG in November.......
Wyndrum, not with you here. It's the sequence of events, not bias.
A) Do you believe AVCT shares were oversold?
B) Do you think preliminary results of a vaccine warrant a 50% decrease in the value of AVCT?
C) Do you think there was an orchestrated market manipulation across the board of Covid diagnostics on the day of Pfizer news and then again (but less effectively) on the day of Moderna news?
I think investing in a company whos core business is much, much larger than what's at play here in short term diagnostics at 20p below the placing price and Ruane entry position is a shrewd move and yes I think the markets were manipulated on the vaccine news and cost a lot of unfortunate people money.
Sharebel, can you explain why the SP simply fell by almost 50% last week? I can, the vaccine news created a false perception fo the diagnostics market and a utopia for the MM's who took complete advantage of the situation in a criminal fashion. Now that the dust has settled and investors can see through the clouds the true value of AVCT is realized and onwards and upwards we go. Also, we are ever nearer to a whole stream of updates in both divisions of the business. A pure steal at 100-104 levels for most of the week. Anybody who didn't take advantage and thought it was destined for lower should do MORE research. Global will be fuming.
All the best :)
Sorry for stating the obvious but I wish to share with you all a true story that I am experiencing right now which just emphasizes the importance of this LFT and how it will undoubtedly shape the future of this pandemic.
I am currently in West Africa and unfortunately have been dealing with quite a serious medical issue with an infection that requires treatment, something I am not comfortable getting done over here and so I had made plans to return to the UK however over two weeks ago I had extremely severe headaches, dizziness, body aches and a fever for 1-2 days. I thought at the beginning it was Malaria or related to the infection and started to panic. After doing the relevant tests it was not Malaria and my symptoms started to subside. In order to travel with practically all airlines nowadays a negative PCR test certificate is required and so I went and did the test, to my horror I was positive and the headaches, etc. were obviously symptoms of the Coronavirus. I was prescribed Hydroxychloroquine and told to wait a week before taking another test which I did and tested positive. They doubled the dose of the Hydroxychloroquine and told me to wait another week and guess what, I was positive again. So after 2.5 weeks and two PCR tests later and I still had the coronavirus but with absolutely no symptoms after the first 1-2 days which is surely a good indicator that my immune system had neutralized the virus and I am probably no longer infectious.
I've learnt to hate PCR tests and not just by how they are administered but I am convinced that it is detecting a very low viral load or dead virus particles and could continue to do so for 'x' amount of time. I am unable to return to the UK and get the treatment I need until this test returns a negative result.
Why am I telling you this, I am telling you because the world cannot evolve like this, other people I am sure are and will be in this situation whether it be medical issues, family bereavement or emergencies that require them to travel/return home and this is only one example of many, i.e. opening up the economy, schools, stadiums, visiting family, a level of normality, etc.
This morning I did a rapid antigen test from SD Biosensor and my result was negative. I guess the argument with this particular test is the sensitivity and this is where Avacta come in. I truly have patience and belief in what they are trying to achieve, when we say this test will be a game changer that's exactly what I think it will be. It will offer the highest sensitivity of any antigen test on the market and supersede PCR tests. This type of test and after my ongoing experience is worth waiting any amount of time on. This virus is still not fully understood, it is a global nightmare and that nightmare will continue. Avacta will solve one very big problem on the way to global recovery and the very science behind it will start to solve other problems the medical world today deem not possible.
All t
You were a lot further from a timing point of view originally than you are now so I do not understand your point at all. There is no credibility in what you say, i.e. 'I know people within AVCT personally' If this was true then you would have nothing to worry about and you wouldn't even waste your time on here. For me you are a clown and this is your stage. Simple. Just dont get upset when the crowd shuts you down.
Gazza4u - give it a rest Sir. I for one do not believe a word you say. Go and ask the people you know personally within AVCT or is that a lie like everything else? You're agenda is clear and if you were a clown at my kids party you'd be fired on the spot.
But you never seen 1GBP because you only got invested at 1.30GBP unless you averaged up which would mean you've a hell of a lot more faith in the company than you suggest. C'mon lets be straight here, you dont have a clue what you are doing let alone the company. Sell now for your little slice of the cake, there are many others out there in the real interest of making money who would love your shares. You, Ajok, MFM, sell up and go off into the sunset with your deramping hand held high. You'll find amateurinvest en route I am sure.
hahaha priceless this. what a contradictory statement. 'Sure AVCT will go up but best to sell high and buy lower.' Enlighten us Global, when you buying back in? Fool...... do love the comedy though, thank you honey.
How is a technical break out a pump scheme? If you are indeed LTH's then you are aware of the SP trajectory which is now on the cusp of the news we've all been waiting for. This share doesn't need to be pumped but trading it at this stage is idiotic but me thinks your all noise anyway. If there's an intraday RNS you'll say you bought in 5 mins after your childish comments. lol It's a all fun and games. Luckily I can sit on a very low average as I have done for months and months and just watch this baby rise like it was always going to.
