CF, it might be bonkers, but i think the odds are better than getting the green light to building a power station in Tanz and making a lot of money out of it?? Mining coins is a bit like throwing dart blindfolded, but this African business is like throwing darts without a blindfold but the dartboard is in the pub next door!!! :-) ... and mining coins is more like living on the edge... and isn't that the purpose of AIM :-) :-) :-)
Piohc1, now your are talking. Use the power when demand is low and generators are idle, for mining coins or run the power through a hydrogen plant. Use one of the income streams to cover overheads... like LC's salary!!!
Jax, Foxy, Wimbo you all have a good point but on Tanzy I am with you Jax (not saying most of the KIBO pi's)... write Tanzy off as a bad project. Like Wimbo said.. 'govts are unpredictable' and even more so in Africa... most African govt have a sweet tooth and by that i mean not a teaspoon sweet, i am talking a big bag of sugar sweet... So if KIBO doesn't have a sugar mill somewhere to really sweeten a deal, this kite is not going to fly. Moz is the same... tooooo much unpredictability. It is only Bots that is a bit more stable but the economic scope is much smaller... So for me ... cut the liabilities and look elsewhere .... can even look Down Under for possibilities.. I am still invested here in the hope that LC will look at other options... like MAST. GLA ... i live in hope for KIBO, although not the correct way to invest :-)
Hi dorfan01, apologies if you get the idea that my comment was aimed at you. I was just agreeing with Nelson. As you stated that Tjate should not be a giveaway but possibly have some agreement with a buyer. There is one concern I have if Tjate is sold, with some agreement regarding the tailings, and that is that the value for Jubes is in the old tailings when the technology was not that great to process the ore. A buyer of Tjate will definitely use new technology to process the ore leaving the tailing with not much left in it to reprocess... maybe somebody with technical knowledge can elaborate on the current technology regarding ore processing.
