Morning Ian_, back in 2013, I bought a new Range Rover which had an EGR valve fitted, caused nothing but bother, if, for instance, we were waiting to pull out from a side road, the car would not accelerate, just sat at tickover, 750rpm, not all the time, just every so often, became quite frightening not knowing if or not it was going act up, anyway, Range Rover dealership couldn't get to the bottom of the problem. I was convinced it was the DPF (and the rigmarole just to regen it,was a pain)....coupled with the EGR....never been a great believer in recycling effluent, anyhow, went back to petrol engined vehicles.
