Yes she was saying it was originally Hamburg then LeHavre then Portugal. Not sure if it was the weather that dictated the change as they were always going to get a hammering on their return. They are due to dock 0700 Saturday morning which could prove interesting with a 55mph sweeping up channel on Friday night. Forecast is pretty grim even into next week.

Ken…..my friend is on Iona at the moment, I think they sailed to Lisbon. I messaged her this morning saying the channel will be a little sporty for their return to Southampton.

Only another £8 to go and back in profit :-))

SYfresh……….I could not resist the temptation below 4p. It seems ridiculously cheap if everything goes to plan. Little point in saving if the best you can earn is 0.5% a year!

Emerald……..everything in my portfolio is well down today apart from TEK. Oil, builders, travel, banks etc etc. it is the fear that a war is just around the corner……do you not follow the news?

Emerald…….you can blame Putin for todays fall. The rest of the market in melt down on the fear of war.

Thanks Ken. All travel stocks looking like a good long term hold now. I hope I can stop looking in and stop the urge to sell when I see a 20% profit.
My new strategy is buy and forget.

Boya……I now hold 6 different travel stocks between airlines and cruise companies. I expect them to all multibag within the next 5 years. Fortune comes to those that are prepared to wait.

Emerald………likewise, I made 16% in 4 days so rude not to take some profit. The rest I will sit on till we have a total recovery. I added another stock to my travel recovery shares today and that is Jet2. My plan now is not to sell any of them for at least another year. No reason why we cannot see a 100% uplift providing I can sit on my hands long enough which generally I find hard to do.

Just bought in this morning to add to my travel stock recovery shares. Now holding IAG, EZJ, TUI, CCL, SAGA and this, Interesting to see TUI rise 9% yesterday yet J2 remained relatively flat. Hopefully see some catch up here this week.
I need to sit on my hands now and come back in a year to see where we are.

Chester………dream on with the divi at the moment I fear. The days of a big divi here are long gone, a bit of a different beast now since flogging off their oil interests.
As for £1 on the 24th it could easily be back to 60p if the news is not great.
I cut my holding in half 3 days ago as I thought CCL were looking prime for post covid recovery so I wanted to stash some cash in there. Proved a good move as I am already 16% up in 3 days.
We have seen a pretty steady rise here since mid last year so I expect the wheels to come off soon. Just a question of when. Remember a profit is only a profit once banked. I think some folk will get nervy approaching the 24th so a possible sell off on the cards. Whatever only you know what is right for you. Good luck.

Topcatz…………fingers crossed I have not sold you a dog, I too like the look of this and like with TEK when I first started buying there at 9p I just have a feeling for this. So much so just topped up with a few more SEE this morning but I notice that my 2 buys show as a sell.

Topcatz………….welcome aboard. Not sure about your 12p target as I am in long term for 100p. This is going to be another bargain purchase like TEK was that so far has made me a juicy return.

Arthur…….CCL was not such a bad recommendation that I suggested, now up 14% in the past two days. You just stick to selling dodgy motors.

Would be nice to see Michael Brown picking up another few million at these levels. I am sure he will.

Fingers crossed we start to see a steady recovery from here. As each day passes we start to see better news re covid. I am going long now with all my travel stocks which now makes up the majority of my holdings.
The world is now learning to live with covid and pent up demand for folk to start travelling again will ensure we should all start to make money from here on in.
I head off to NYC aboard QM2 in May so fingers crossed that this time around it will be third time lucky.
