Chester……….that is me toning it down. All I am saying is a lot of folk here probably approaching a 100% profit. With results out soon would you risk that profit on possible bad news? This has had a great run in the past 6 months but there will come a time when the constant rise must end……all I am saying is maybe that day is not too far off and I am thinking maybe we will see a bit of a sell off as results day approaches.

I am more interested in what we will hear on the 24th. Having made some pretty good gains in the last 6 months I am still concerned the wheels may fall off the wagon on the 24th.
Do we bank a nice profit or take a chance the update will not be all doom and gloom.
I would still like to know with the new increase in the price cap to £1900 are we still selling gas at a loss?

Hi Ken, many thanks for the info. It is for a transatlantic in May with Cunard on the QM2 (third attempt hopefully) but I understand that that will be covered by the same scheme. I think you only get £60 but better than a kick up the backside. The wife also has a holding so hopefully we may get 2x£60 ……….It may buy a couple of beers :-)

Another good opportunity to add more at a discounted price. 2022 is going to be the year of the travel turnaround.
Most folk are fed up to the high teeth with Covid and realise the only way to get on is accept the fact that like the common flu it is here to stay and we need to learn to live with it.
A lot of money been saved the past 2 years and the first thing it will be spent on is getting back on vacation.
Carnival seem to have a great plan going forward and I see no reason why we cannot double our price from today within the next 12 months.

Chester……..shame you didn’t listen to my advice a year ago when you were twittering on about dividends then. I told you to buy BP around the £2 mark. Despite all the doom and gloom they were still paying a reasonable dividend.
I have just doubled my money there and got a nice dividend along the way.
Now please run along and stop acting like a spoilt brat with you obnoxious comments to your fellow investors.

Chester………..don’t be a fud all of your life……..what calls did I get wrong? I said it was going down to sub 30p and it did.
I also said I would come back aboard after selling at a big loss at 43p once I saw a new continuing trend which I did.
All you keep spouting are figures pulled out of thin air as to where we will be in 6 months and what a nice divi we will be getting too.
Please run along and I hope your paper round money that you have invested will buy you a new bike one day.

I don’t expect a divi for another year. Long gone are the days when we were getting a 12% dividend. It was very nice but one of the reasons the share price was trashed as the money would have been better spent elsewhere. Poor management then and this O’shea fella seems no better.
Still happy to ride the trend here but may start to get a little nervy by the 24th.

The one thing that really gets me interested in SEE is the fact that over the past 6 months Michael Brown has purchased over 46 million shares. The latest batch at a price higher than we are today. Our Michael is not known for chucking his money down the kitchen sink.

Plato………It looks like the price cap will rise from around £1200 pa to £2000 in April. I would like to know if at £2000 CNA are still selling gas at a loss.
Just reading the Octopus update and despite gaining many new customers and price hedging they still expect to make a £90m loss.
We have had a great run of late and one has to decide if it is time to bank a nice profit. Maybe time to bring out the glass ball.

Den……likewise, it seems to jump between 1250 and 1500 pretty regularly. A great trading share and often moves 5% up and down in a day.

Chester……..lots of spare change so no need to worry there. I just need to start spending it, the same as most folk that have been devoid of spending during lock down. Travel travel travel is the thing to do albeit a bit of a busman's holiday for me I guess.

ChesterO……..always bitter to lose money but the main thing is to move on and recover those losses. I managed to do that pretty well and have been enjoying the trend ride back here but I do have to laugh at some of the crazy price claims you make.
I am going to hang in here for a few more days yet but set a tight stop. After all a profit is only a profit once in the bank. It may now be a case of selling on news but I am still concerned that the 24th may bring a little doom and gloom. Maybe time to start hitting the travel stocks again and faster gains to be had there once everyone realises that there really is a life to be had after Covid.
