Pedro……When SALT floated I bought them for 45p and sold them a while later for 110p. If I had only invested in them via TEK I would never have made the same money. Likewise with BELL, I nearly trebled my money there whilst my holding in TEK just bimbled along making nothing. Once Guidient floats I will definitely buy their shares on NASDAQ . I am too exposed to TEK as it is and to be honest owning TEK has been one of the worst trading decisions I have made in over 30 years of trading.

Lordmakealot……….. Yes, you can buy on the NASDAQ through a Halifax share dealing account by completing a W-8BEN form and a NYSE Subscriber Agreement, which can be found on the international trading section of their website.

I had to do it to buy RIVN and will do the same when Guidient floats.

Stas…..and to everyone else that is having a go at me fir being slightly negative. I have just checked my holdings here. I presently hold just over £31k which to be honest has surprised me, the bab thing though is my average is still a tad over 14p. I have been here since the very early 20p days and over the years I have averaged down when spare cash and dividends from other shares has become available.As I keep mentioning I have seen so much excitement before when other holdings of TEK have gone to an Ipo. Yet despite all the hype there and now here we are still dragging our heels.

Maybe indeed Guidient is different, I understand the tech as heavily invested in SEE so fingers crossed all you guys that are getting excited about the forthcoming Ipo will be all fir a good reason.

In the meantime, until the IPO happens and Guidient start making money I am definitely not wetting my pants like a lot of you seem to be.

Just look back at the previous Ipo’s If you had bought SALT and BELL directly you would very quickly have doubled your money, I did and more before taking my profit. Sadly, TEK never reacted with the same movement. When Guidient comes to the market I will do the same and buy those shares instead of topping up my holdings here.

Samsmith……..not at all. Over 30 years of investing and nearly 10 years in TEK. I am sceptical as we have been here before and are still down in the doldrums. I guess only time will tell.

There really seems to me to be too much excitement about this imminent ipo. We have seen it all before and look where we still are….dragging our bloody heels. I really cannot get too excited as both SALT and BELL ipo’s seem not to have done us any favours , quite the opposite infact. I hold over £20k at double the present price so something amazing will need to happen if I am ever to get my money back.

I should have spent it on fast cars and slow women.

Pedro……..I will live in hope then that my patience over the past 7 years will one day soon be well rewarded. As I say, I still am not holding my breath.

I have been holding Tek for a good few years now and have a pretty substantial holding. It would be nice to see it fly from here but to be honest I am not holding my breath. We have all been here before with BELL and SALT and after initial excitement there things rapidly went down hill. Can someone convince me that this time around I should feel some positivity.

I can see this falling 15% tomorrow once all the hype dies down.

If ut gies anything like the last IPO’s with BELL and SALT You will be better off buying Guidient than topping up here.

I bought both SALT and BELL at Ipo and both climbed over 200% before crashing back to earth with a bang.

Sorry guys, blame me. Selling BP to fund this. BP finished 1% up and Saga 8% down. Just about sums up my life of buying stocks and shares.

Rouge……..my buy got filled at just over 218 but 210 would have been better. Hard to pick the bottom though so happy where I am now. Hopefully some fireworks and 🚀 next week.

Although I am still well underwater in my trading account with an average of 280p I have decided this morning to move my ISA holding in BP which was 10% in profit and has been dragging its feet for the past few weeks into Saga. I bought some first thing at 224 and set a limit buy for more at 219. You can guarantee that this will crash next week and BP will fly 🙏🙏🙏🙏

Just opened a new ISA with RBS. Last month their fixed 1 year rate was 3.95%. Today they are offering 4% which suggests they don’t think interest rates will fall at the next review. That said, TW. are my biggest holding now and happpy to await a recovery whilst taking a nice annual dividend

Jpow…….a little bit too soon I feel. I am in for the long haul, a 9% divi and a 20% capital gain. This share is a no brainer.

Just checked in and very happy to see a 10% jump. Pretty unusual though without any news…..something is brewing and news obviously leaked. Another 60p and I am back in profit. It has been a long haul but I can now see light at the end of the tunnel.

Rupans………I get what you are saying but I think the number of policies are important too. Better selling 3 policies at £100 rather than one at £300. Once you have the customers aboard you have a better chance of keeping them. I little like the low cost airlines.

The Southampton-Glasgow route is also busy because both BAE systems and NATS use the flights to shuttle staff between their respective offices in Glasgow, Prestwick and Southampton.

Just renewed the insurance on my Wife’s car. I always use Confused.com and change the insurance provider every year as you get a £20 voucher and a monthly free coffee from Greggs for a year if you use Confused. Worth about £50 so a great deal.

Confused automatically send a list of insurers and prices a month before due. This year Saga was the cheapest by far at £107. Very easy to set up and also easy to stop auto renewal online.
