Beaner.....maybe dont invest for a divi when the share price is high, but a 10% dive when the share price is rock bottom is fine by me.........cut the divi to 5% and this will still in the longer term be a bargain, at these prices even 5% giving me a return of £30K pa.

Any share paying over a 10% divi has to be good value, I for one will continue to drip feed this till she turns back north, in the meantime a 10% plus return per year will do just fine.

Illbeetabuck.........I am heavily into both CNA and now VOD. I have been buying them both on their journey south. To me it is a win win situation, if they fall the divi % increases, both paying close on 9% per year, if the share price rises we start to make a nice capital gain. Either way I am happy to sit back and enjoy the ride.

Starting to look cheap to me. Taken a nice 15% profit in Easy jet this morning and going to drip feed in here. Picked up £10K at 144.5. Lets see what tomorrow brings.....one thing for sure we could see either 135 or 160 depending on how the market reacts to the news. One thing though, longer term a stonking hold for divi alone.

I am now fearful of this now, I always thought TUI would come in with an offer here, but seeing what has happened at Flybe what is to stop them doing the same here? Hopefully things though are a little more robust here financially though. To be honest I am spooked and going to sell at a small loss.

The price ex div day is irrelevant if you intend to hold long term which I do. There are a good half dozen shares out there at the moment that are paying nearly 10% per annum as a divi......try getting that in any savings account. I also find that most shares will recover within a month of ex div day to what they were before so if you really want to move on, hold for the divi then wait a month before selling.

After last nights vote I now see this a pretty safe bet. Little chance now of Corbyn or his mob getting his grubby hands on it. A good recovery now paying a whopping divi on the way.

Looking a bargain, keeping hands in pockets as I fear 300p may be seen soon. If tomorrow’s vote goes tits up God only knows where this will bottom out!!

Longshort......maybe the Director just bought on a hunch that he see’s Tui about to pounce. A travel agent friend told me twp months ago that be tought sometime in 2019 TCG would be taken out by Tui......the rumour is niw starting to get legs.
I expect some profit taking before close but see this into the 40’s at some stage this week.
I have taken a few off the table at 32.8 and topped up in Flybe again. Money to be made in both these Companies and as they say you need to be in to win.

I wonder what price Tui will offer?

I will stick my neck on the block.....TCG will be part of the Tui group come early 2019. Any buying at this level will bring handsome returns.

I expect by the end of the week to hear Tui are showing an interest......you have to be in to win. That is all.

Just chatting at work and word is that Tui maybe be looking closer at this? My own thoughts had been Jet2 but Tui actually makes sense.....anyone else heard this?

Jet2 Maybe getting their own back on TCG dropping Jet2 holidays last year.
